- do not bear even [my] talking of going: "if [you] go,
- I won't live" - if you say so,
- while you are staying behind in the seashore grove,
- standing on the shore as a goddess of the sea
- in the twilight so that [your] cool fragrant fresh garland of blue water-lilies
- comes into swinging, with [your] chaplet full of Ñāḻal so that bees come,
- I, I won't bear returning, as a dancing girl,
- having abandoned my decorations that shone as the image for the Veṟi dance.
