- After plucking flowers in the backwaters and abiding in the seashore grove
- and being immersed in [forming] in the sand the outlines of an image in play
- and being sweetly united and being disgracefully humble,[FNote_117]
- - does he really go, the tender man from the seashore,
- with a heart immersed in not knowing
- of our faultless misery, while his own misery came out?
- Has it reached [him],
- my neverfull heart that went out to stop [him],
- standing in front of [him], feeling pity for [his] moving back as he went?
- And even having reached [him]
- was it ashamed to talk of passion?
- look there: the chariot he mounted,
- it vanishes, going away with the appearance coming up(?!)[FNote_118]
- as the bent boats going quickly,
- thrust into the great sea by the fishermen from the small hamlet,
- mounting [and] descending, so as to cut off the green hareleaf in choice creepers
- onto the side of the fronds of Tāḻai trees in the dunes
- and high on the piles of heaped white sand.[FNote_119]
