2. ciṟukaru neytaṟ kaṇpōṉ māmalarp
3. peruntaṇ māttaḻai yirunta valku
4. laiya varumpiya cuṇaṅkiṉ vaiyeyiṟṟu
5. maiyī rōti vāṇutaṟ kuṟumakaḷ 5
6. viḷaiyāṭ ṭāyamoṭu veṇmaṇa lutirtta
7. puṉṉai nuṇṭātu poṉṉi ṉoṇṭu
8. maṉaipuṟan taruti yāyi ṉeṉaiyatūu

• The little woman with bright forehead, collyrium[-dark] moist hair,
• sharp teeth [and] with beauty spots that have budded wonderfully
• on [her] hip on which were big cool dark foliage
• [and] eye-like large blossoms of the small dark blue water-lily
• that blossomed with the flood by the side of the swelling(?)[FNote_92] backwaters,
• she bowed [her] head a little,
• restraining the coming of dew from [her] collyrium eyes covered with red streaks,
• eminently graceful, when we came near to her,
• as the charioteer strong of hand made the handled
• long chariot with fast-moving good horses go gently,
• saying: "if you can take care of the house,
• measuring it out(?) with the gold of the fine pollen from the Puṉṉai tree
• [you] have shaken down into the white sand, in play with [your] companions,
• is it something evil, you beautiful one,
• if you unite with me in mastering this house, even a little?",
• - so that we had great distress here.
