• Although you have whirled along with [your] chariot and repeated humble words,
• so that gossip has risen, tangible everywhere in the village and the quarter,
• o you with a heart that trembles every time you remember
• [her] glorious [and] graceful bosom, not to be seen
• by everyone, as the heavily protected tall pillar,
• of a beauty fit to be seen, to the bottom of which a rope is tied,
• of the sacrifice that was completed with difficulty(?), making an effort in front
• of the long one with the axe for a weapon, who cut off the side of kings,
• when the battle was packed with a crowd of rutting elephants,
• in Cellūr, having the form of an unperishing fire(?)[FNote_87],
• - in case you should suffer[FNote_88] from standing outside for a long [time],
• speak now, in a way that we understand,
• of protection(?), so that the good grace is not wasted
• in [her] bamboo shoulders with flexible joints, chosen among the companions
• of the seashore grove, [with the words]: "it resembles the fertile cool bamboo
• of cool Cāykkāṉam[FNote_89], in fields with long ears,
• where the pretty nets with straight rods that are drawn from the dark backwaters
• tighten over fish in groups together with bent-backed prawn,
• [not wasted] in [this] passionate union, love unchanging,
• hearts remaining as the big bird that cannot endure(?),[FNote_90]
• there in Ūṇūr with old [and] much rice,
• where time revolves with the flood of the thundering sea.
