• You, who don't know of [her] being confined to the house, for many days,
• as gossip about the union, that had come to a few ears, was rising,
• in the big ghat of the seashore grove with Tāḻai trees opening [their] sprouts,
• where the waves with heads as white as [those] of the old
• ruin the lined houses, with which the youngsters are playing,
• how can I say that I will leave[FNote_27]
• your side, who are suffering with an anxious mind
• in [your] pretty high chest that didn't make suffer [her] coming breasts[FNote_28]?
• Even if [it were as much as] the market-place of the fierce-eyed Kōcar,
• [their] faces with injuries inflicted by[FNote_29] iron,
• fertile as one that has the noise of the great sea,
• east of Cellūr of the god with rare power,
• - they won't take [it], saying "enough"(?),
• as a price of green jewels for the young woman of fragrant forehead.
