மாகவிசும்பு; மாகம் is put in apposition with விசும்பு;

மாகம் may also mean that space between the heaven and the earth (paripātal, 1-47, parimēlaḻakar's commentary)

From lines 4-6 we know that in ancient times some kind of polish was applied by ladies to their nails; so the nails are compared to the beaks of the green parrot; ""கிளிவாய் ஒப்பின் ஒளி விடு வள்ளுகிர்'' (porunarāṟṟuppaṭai, 34);

கன்னம் - the scales of the small balance of goldsmiths, in which they weigh gold; it is compared to the Kōṅku flower, which is golden in colour. The flowers of Kuravu are compared to small wires of silver. The white flowers of maram are compared to the glare of the sunlight. It is during spring that kuyil sings. As soon as talaivaṉ stood before talaivi, the sallowness disappeared immediately. The sallowness betrayed her love towards talaivaṉ to her mother.

நத்துறந்து has become நந்துறந்து to be in keeping with the etukai (எதுகை) in வந்து

(line 21) The adverbial participles have been changed into finite verbs

உதிர is the cause and உகுப்ப is the effect; it may be changed as உகுத்தலால் உதிர.
