TRANSLATION
- On chief (6)!
- In the path which is at the foot of the mountain which has villages of big stones (15)
- the big pigeons both male and female coo (14)
- without leaving (13)
- the pillar of black and strong foot (12)
- as they have lived there for a very long time (13),
- which is in the village public hall, in which gods have abandoned dwelling (12),
- and on whose walls ant-hills have been formed (11)
- on which bushes are spreading (11)
- in those ant-hills groups of bears having big hands search for their food of comb in those nest, (10),
- situated in the extensive forest tracts abunding in porcupines (9)
- and where the beautiful and tall elephants (7)
- which have done away with the killing opposition of the tiger (6)
- having become proud of their must and out of mental delusion (8)
- and increasing in their strength (8)
- kill way-farers; Is it befitting you to go in the mountainous path desirous of acquiring wealth (5)
- without thinking (5)
- that this lady witll undergo suffering (5)
- for sallowness to spread on her small forehead, her big shoulders to become thin,
and the beautiful lines on the widening and beautiful waist to decrease (2)

NOTES
பசந்து and சாஅய்
- these adverbial participles modify the verb உழக்கும், நனந்தலை
- should be added with as இயங்கு நர்ச் செகுக்கும் நனந்தலை and எய்படு நனந்தது separately
புதல்இவர்....... .....கருந்தாட் கந்தம்: This indicates that the inhabitants of the village had deserted it.
By saying ""இவன் உழக்கும் என்னாது நீங்கல் ஒல்லுமோ'' the friend in a way which was full of troubles,
and prevented talaivaṉ from leaving talaivi alone.
