NOTES
ஆடியும், குற்றும்: These adverbial participle modify விளையாடல்(7)
Here bathing in the mountain waterfall has been included in playing in the grove.
The word "குற்று' is always used in caṅkam works only to denote plucking flowers growing in water,
cf ""கழிப்பூக்குற்றும் கானல் அல்கியும்'' (akam.320-1);
""சுனைப்பூக்குற்றும்'' (naṟṟiṇai 173-1.);
""சிறுபாசடைய நெய்தல் குறுமோசென்றெனக் கூறாதோளே'' (Do. 27-11-12);
That the mother looks many times at talaivi and she will not send her to the millet farm
gently hint to alaivaṉ that talaivi would be put under restraint in the house.
Bathing in the mountain waterfalls in the company of talaivaṉ is mentioned in Kuṟuntokai and in this
Kuṟuntokai 353-1-3).
