ஆயிழை(8)! வேனிலும்(5) கங்குல் இன்னா கழியு மென்று நின்(6) மேனி நலம் புலம்ப(7) இனைதல் ஆன்றிகின்(8); (நம் தலைவர்) உறந்தை எய்தினும்(14) நின்(16) வால் எயிறு ஊறிய நீரினை(17) வினை பொருளாகத் தவிர்விலர்(15).

புன்கால் may be added to வீ and translated as small stem.

அரி can be translated as lines.

As it is said that kuyil begins to sing it denotes spring.

எயிறூறிய நீர் is what is called in Kāmasāstra as adharapānam.

மண்டை is an earthern vessel resembling skull in shape; so it derives its name by resemblance.
