TRANSLATION
- Chief of the village which always yields fresh income (2)
- Do not speak your deceptive words (1)
- I won't take them as truth (1)
- You have definitely no modesty. (2)
- In the Kāviri which brought floods at day-break (10)
- carrying white myrobalam trees along with glabrous mahua trees having them uprooted (9)
- at the ghat of Kaḻār belonging to matti (8)
- who has an infantry of lancers (8),
- who is the lord of fishermen, a good archer who can pierce through several aims by one arrow, and has strong shoulders (7)
- (At Kaḻār) girls wearing small bangles (4)
- and wearing a dress made of leaves of contrasting colours (3)
- drive away the white birds in the field where arrow-head plant (கரந்தைச் செடி) has grown (6),
- plucking the green sedges from the tanks (5)
- when they are tired of sports in the colourful water (4).
- (At that ghat) yesterday you sported (12)
- with a harlot whom you desired who was wearing bangles in the wrist in the freshes (11).
- The scandal which arose on account of that act (12)
- is today greater than the uproarious noise (17)
- when Kaṭṭi who had an army capable of inflicting death on enemies in battles (16)
- and who came to fight along with pānaṉ of great victory and strength (13)
- fled away without fighting (18)
- being afraid of the sound produced by the war drum of sweet sound to hear (15)
- which arose in the audience hall early in the morning in Uṟantai belonging to tittaṉ veḷiyaṉ (14)
