TRANSLATION
- Chief ! The strong and swift walking male elephant which is praised by its herd
feeds it with tender bamboos and relishing leaves (1-2)
- The clouds pour down incessantly with lightning as bright as the shining colour of the sword
and drops scattered big particles of water (4-5)
- they surround the cool peaks of mountains, so as to make them shake (5)
- at dead of night when thunderbolts make a big noise in the spreading darkness (6)
