• In those desert tracts (15),

• They kill wayfarers and bury them and those raised mounds of stones strike fear (11)
• The male kites which have red mouths and sharp-pointed beaks (12)
• gather there together to dig up the greenish heads of corpses (13)
• and remove the apples of the eye (14)
• with their strong claws which are close to one another (14)
• For those who are separated from their lovers and stay in their houses (17)
• pitying with a heavy heart those who travelled in those desert tracts (16)
• it would have been good to say, ``You win victory quickly and give a send off to you (6)

• by holding a lance made beautiful by embellishments, on the right side (4),
• with a courageous mind goading you to take up fighting (3)
