• He did not get any one who could oppose him, on land (17).
• So with raising up his anger excessively (17),
• besieged the sea (18)
• with the strength to fight there (18).
• He threw his eminent lance into the sea (19)
• which had high waves, to make it recede (19)
• That eminent lance should pierce through your heart and get stuck up (20)
• there, and let your excessive pride perish in that way (21).
