TRANSLATION
- My Companion (5)!
- Though (our lover) has gone to the extensive desert tract which has rough paths (3-4)
- and is in a distant country (4)
- without any grace on me (3)
- so that my eyes coated with collyrium and comparable to blue nelumbo (குவளைமலர்/ flowers
are always shedding tears (1),
- and the beautiful lines on the waist which has beautiful yellow spots are decreasing (2).

- The big group of clouds (9)
- drew into it water in abundance (6),
- having gone to the ocean, in large numbers (6),
