• The slopes of the high mountains have bamboos crowded with one another (5)
• There in the adjacent hill which has plenty of water the elephant roars (1).
• The shining white streams mixed with honey (2)
• falls down to fill the caves and cracks in the mountain with their sound (4)

• which is exactly like the sweet music produced by muḻavu (முழவு) (3).
• (In that slope) the hunter who has killing hands which look as if they were made of molten iron stands by the side of indian oak (மராமரம்) of blossomed flowers and chooses the proper arrow (7).
• He discharges it so as to get fixed in the chest of the elephant having lines on its forehead, which is difficult to be pierced through (8).
• He removes the white tusks with which the elephant kills its enemies (9).
• He fixes them firmly in front of his cottage thatched with broomstick grass (to dry) (9-10)
• to issue a smell of flesh. He feels pleasure having consumed the liquor prepared from pulp of the jack fruits resembling muḻavu (முழவு) that grow in the frontyard of the cottage (11-12).
• He is full of bustle in the company of his relations and eats the food cooked with flesh using sandal wood tree as fire-wood (12-13)

• Had I known that, the sallowness of golden colour would not have almost spread on the young lady adorned with beautiful jewels and having eyes of beautiful eye-lids, coated with colliriyum; to spoil her beautiful complexion comparable to the colour of sapphire.
