குறுமகள்(11) ஆகத்து(12) முலைலை நனைய(13) கண்பனி பரந்தன(14); வெருவரு கானம் பொருள் புரிந்து(7) இறப்ப எண்ணினிந் என்பது(8) தான்(9) இறப்பக்(8) கேட்டனன் கொல்லோ(9)? (ஆயின்) வினை வயின் பிரிதல் யாவது(1)?

In line 9 the annotators of Kaḻakam edition have split "தோட்டாழ்பு' as "தோட்டு ஆழ்பு.' But I have split into தோள்தாழ்பு; cf. "தோள்தாழ்பு இருளிய குவையிருங் கூந்தல்"(அகம் 197-10);

In the Rajam edition of the text also it is split as I have done it.
