TRANSLATION
- The frogs with wide open mouths that abound in the deep depressions filled with water, (2)
- of the forest region which has become rich in yield by the abundant rains (1),
- make a loud noise in the long ways like the sound of many small musical instruments (3).
- The flowers the dwarf fish bush of bedaly emitic nut tree () which have long stalks, (4)
- drop and beautify the minute sand on the red soil (5)
- The pollen in the cool and fragrant malabar glory lily () drops as the flowers unfold their petals,
just like the hoods of cruel and angry cobras, which are raised and spread out (6-7)
- The stag of twisted horns drinks the clear water and lies with pleasure with its loving mate (8-9)
- In such a cool wide beautiful high way of the forest which has become more beautiful, (10)
- Charioteer (13)!
- please drive the chariot in such a manner (13)
- that the string of bells worn on the necks of horses which hang down upto their legs, will sound clearly; (12)
- their manes are trimmed, and to do not get tired if they run fast (11).
- Let us reach quickly our talaivi of beautiful complexion (15)
- who is favourably disposed towards us (14)
- as she possesses great qualities (13).
