TRANSLATION
- My mind! (7)
- Let you live long! If I travel in the long paths of desert (5)
- where the big group of bears
having big forelegs eat with eagerness
the white hollow flowers of mahua () of dull-coloured trunk (3),
- if they dislike the termites which are hidden
in the high and red ant-hills (2)
- which were constructed by small and insignificant white ants,
during a very long time (1),
- and even if I get easily the excellent wealth
that could be earned only with difficulty, (5-6)
- I won't come with you (7)
- The port of Muciṟi is rich with different kinds of wealth (11)
- The beautiful ships of strong build
which were brought
by yavaṉar (யவனர்) (9)
- to make the white foams
in the big river Cuḷḷi belonging to Cēralar stirred up (8),
- come with gold and return with pepper (in that port) (10)
- Ceḻiyaṉ who has tall and beautiful elephants
and who is victorious in battles, (13)
- besieged Muciri so that great tumult arose there (11)
- and won in the tough battle
without any treachery, and seized the gold image (12).
- I part from this lady her cool, proud eyes
which have red lines on them will be laden with clear tears (19),
- which resemble the combination
of two fresh flowers of blue nelumbo
(நீலம்) (17-18)
- which grow in the deep and long pools
for the bees to like them (17),
- in the hill (பரங்குன்று:
Paraṅkuṉṟu) of the tall one
(நெடியோன்: murukaṉ),
where festivals are celebrated perpetually;
he has raised in his victorious banner
a peacock having many spots on its feathers (5-6)
