TRANSLATION
- Charioteer (9)!
- Please drive the horses without wounding ((them))
by applying the spurs (9)
- so that they may go slowly
with their legs equal to one another (8)
- which usually gallop,
and keep rhythmic pace (7),
- in the sylvan region of red soil (6)
- That region appears like a beautiful portrait
executed exquisitely by a consummate artist, (5-6)
- because the flowers of arabian jasmine
(முல்லைமலர்கள்)
that slip off that creeper
and drop on the molucca beans creepers
and in between the beautiful flowers
of iron wood tree (காயாமலர்)
which resemble sapphire, the cochineals of red back,
crawl and spread themselves (3-5),
- as the dark clouds full of water
have ushered in the rainy season
and poured their water without fail,
the forest puts forth a beautiful appearance (1-2)
- If the sound of the chariot to which our galloping horses
are attached (13)
- is heard by the stag which has twisted horns
which resemble the stalk (11)
- from which even the downward-looking buds too
had dropped in addition to the big petals
of the flower clusters of plaintain (9)
- which dropped one after another after maturing (10),
- and which is in company of its beautiful female
with well-shaped legs in the state
of mating out of love, (12)
- will it be possible for them to have union at midnight ? (14)

NOTES
Notes : The commentator has added
கழல்
with வீ
and has given the meaning as the flowers
that drop from arabian jasmine.
But I have taken it as a noun
to mean the creeper of molluca beans
and taken முல்லை வீ together,
meaning the flowers of arabian jasmine.
