• One who has a chest on which are worn ornaments of intricate workmanship ! (8)
• The bent ears of corn of millet too (ஏனல்) have been harvested. (1)

• which unfold the closed petals of the buds in the big pools (9-10)
• situated in the slopes where the clouds poured their first instalment of rains, (9)
• eat the pollen in the blossomed bunches of east indian kino tree (வேங்கைமலர்) (11)
• and sleeps in the heaping bunches of malabar glory lily (காந்தன் மலர்) which has honey (11-2),
• and dreams drinking the fluid of must (மதநீர்) which flows from the big temples of elephant (12-3).

நுண்பூண்மார்ப(8)! ஏனல் குரல் இறுத்தன(1); நுதலும் கவின் தொலைந்த(2); இவ்வூரும் ஏதில மொழியும்(3); கொடிச்சியை நல்கினைஆயின்(7) நும் ஊர்க்கும்(14) (வரைந்து) கொண்டனை சென்மோ(8).
