• Friend (9)! The chief of the agricultural has got a ghat (துறை) (5)

• we cannot remain long not being hurnt by her back-biting, so let us take a stroll for a short while in the street in which she lives by swinging the arms to produce sound by tight-fitting bangles so that she may beat against her stomach in terror just like the centre of the drum which is rapped by the bard (பாணன்) who gets the flesh of male elephants (12)

• kills enemies in close up battles, on account of his faultless training in weapons of war (11)

தோழி(9)! துறைகேழ் ஊரன் பெண்டு, தன் கொழு நனை(5) நம்மொடு புலக்கும் என்ப(6); நாம் அது(6) செய்யாமாயினும்(7) செழியன்(10) அமர் அடுதோறும்(11) பாணன் எறியும்(12) தண்ணுமைக்கண்ணின்(13) தன் வயிறு அலை இயர்(13); சிறிது அவண்(8) உலமந்து வருகம்; சென்மோ(9).
