TRANSLATION
- My daughter who did not mind our wealth (8)
- in the vast area of our long mansion which is as cool as a tank situated under shade (7)
- did not drink the sweet milk which was held in a vessel set with precious stones, (5)
- to which honey was added (4)
- and offered by the foster-mothers to her to drink (6).
- The chief of the good mountainous region (3)
- made a garland of flowers mixed with the bright leaves of east indian kino tree (வேங்கைமலர்) (2)
- which blossomed in the broad rock as the buds were in an advanced state of blossoming (1)
- and gently (2)
- flattered her after adorning her with that garland.
She was confused by the untruth of talaivaṉ.
In order to carry out the business in which the warriors who were ordered to be engaged (11)
- by eḻiṉi (எழினி) (10)
- who has such great strength that it cannot be destroyed (11),
- has many weapons of lances (வேலகள்) (10),
- horses which have learnt some kinds of keeping step (9)
- according to measurement of time like the bouncing of balls
which rise when they are beaten, (9)
- The warriors have arrows which are fit for warfare and do not miss their aim, (13)
- drink the sweet smelling liquor fermented and extracted from honey (14)
- and, under the influence of its intoxication, having won victories over enemies in the battle-fronts (14)
- in the forest where as fire spreads to a great extent the rocks are scorched, (12)
- lift the herds of cows which have bull among them, and which have large and soft udder (15)
- How was my daughter capable of (4)
