TRANSLATION
- In the cool and fragrant (2)
- sylvan region the big swarms of bees fly (1)
- in all directions and make uproarious humming noise (2)
- To the delight of the young attendants who hold victorious lance (3)
- the charioteer (3)
- seizes the bridle of the horses to keep pace with them (3-4)
- Otherwise (4)
- if he uses the goad (4)
- even this world which is surrounded by the ocean will not have sufficient space for their running in a straight course (5).
- Having ascended (7)
- the tall chariot to add beauty to the bending lotus bud (7)
- and to which are attached four beautiful horses of galloping (4)
- gait (6),
- after the king had finished his battle (1)
- and leaving behind many small villages (13)
- where the white kids of lambs which have stomachs with nothing inside (9)
- like the rinds of the creeper of field beans (அவரைக்கொடி) without any seeds which spreads on bushes, (7-8)
- having flowers, and they have large dropping ears as if they are facinated (10)
- leap and frisk along with the urchins who have shabby hairs, (11)
- and nibble the beautiful and cleft leaves of common mountain ebony (ஆத்தி) in the assembly hall under trees; (10-11)
- and having returned in this evening, (13)
- you adorned the tresses of the lady wearing choice bangles with flowers for her to wear them (16-7),
- who was sitting shedding tears (15)
- and feeling sulky brooding over many things (15)
- My lord! (14)
- you did a pleasant act (14).
