• and therefore does not know what is hunger and has stretches of agricultural tracts (மருதநிலம்), (14)
• where the buffaloes of bended horns (15)
• lie under the rich and cool shade of the jack-tree which has many bends, if it hated the lotus it was grazing (15)

தோழி(9)! மான்நோக்கி(18)! (நம்தலைவர்) வெயில் அவிர் நனந்தலை(7) அரும் பொருள் வேட்கையின் அகன்றனராயினும்(8) பெரும்பேர் அன்பினர்(9); (ஆகலின்) குடநாடு பெறினும்(17) நின் மாண்நலம் மறந்து(18) தவிரலர்(17).
