• and which belongs to fearless Kōcar (12)

• for green jewels of the lady who has a fragrant forehead (14)

(திலைவி)! கானலம் பெருந்துறைச்(3) சில்செவித்தாகிய புணர்ச்சி அலர்எழ(4), இற்செறித்தமை அறியாய்(5), பன்னாள் இவனை வருத்தி(6), வருந்தும் நிவையின்(7) (இக்கனாவாழுக்கம்) நீங்குக என்று யான் யாங்ஙனம் மொழிகோ(8)? அரிவைபாசிழைவிலை(14) கோசர் நியமமாயினும்(12) உறுமெனக் கொள்ளுர் அல்லர்(13).
