• who has a body with beautiful mamai (மாமை) (8)
• like the big leaves of iṅkai (ஈங்கை) in the winter season, (17)

• The men have decidedly considered grace as having no value but only manly effort of acquiring wealth as having any value (1-2).

குறுமகள்(20)! (நீ) ஆடவர்(1) பொருள்காட்சியின்(2) உள்ளமொடு துஞ்சல் செல்லாது(3) கல் நெறிப்படர் குவராயின்(10) சென்றுபடு விறற்கவின் உள்ளி(14) இரங்குநர் அல்லது பெயர்தந்து(15) தருநரும் உளரோ! என்ப(16) புலந்து பல கூறி(20) ஆனா நோயை ஆக(21), யான்(21) நின்வயின் பிரியச் சூழ்தலும் உண்டோ(22)?.

variant reading :- The companion told the talaimakaḷ whose nature underwent a little change on learning that the talaivaṉ would part from her to acquire wealth; she assured her that he would not do so
