• I do not feel sorry for your friend having eloped with him (talaivaṉ) and crossed the big mountain (2-3),

• and which was kicked by the fearless elephant by bending its legs and joining its long trunk (4-5)

• with its beak pecks (for food) in company with its small and ugly-looking female, at daybreak when the thick darkness clears up and the sun shines brightly (6).
