• In the village where the buffalo with black horns which appear as if they were made of iron (3),
• disturbed the tank which had crystal clear water to become muddy, (2)
• tore the soft leaves of water lily (ஆம்பல்) and grazed the many flowers of blue nelumbo (குவளை) which were releasing the tightness of their buds (4-5)
• The minute pollen of the river portia (காஞ்சிமரம்) tree growing on the bank of the tank, sheds down little by little on its wet back (5-6)
• It entered into its shed where it should stay, chewing the cud moving its cheeks (7)
• Yesterday the bard (பாணன்) who was coming with great eagerness (10)
• to make new harlots who were adorned as befitting occasions of wedding, have union with the strong chest adorned with garlands of that chief of the agricultural tract of cool ghat (துறை) (8-9)
• was pounced in the street by a cow which recently calved (10-11)
• He got confounded (11)
• and letting his lute (யாழ்) slip down from his hand, entered into our house (11-12)
• On seeing that, I, concealing my joy which made my body swell in size, went in front of him and told him, `"This is not your house. That is your house!'' (12-4)
