Translation
- Friend! In the mountain
where bamboos rub against one another
and produce a sound

- the tiger with a large mouth
having killed a big boar
(6),
- drags it so that the offensive stench
of flesh spreads in the mountain sides
where the jack trees have grown in abundance
(7).
- In that place in a low level marshy places
where water is always oozing
there are tall gamboge and plantain trees
(8-9)
- There the loud noise produced
by the female elephant breaking a big tree
and laying it as a step for the terror-striking
male elephant which fell into the pit
to climb up so as to remove its suffering
(10-11),
- resounds in the cave of the mountain
which seems to touch the sky
(12).
- In his country without wandering,
by getting confused in the many paths
which are frequented by deer
by the side of countless hills,
having walked softly with slow paces
with the help of lightning
which shows the way
(12-14);
- the male bear with a big hand
coming in search of its food,
comb of white ants; rest

which stays on the damp outer surface
of the anthill constructed by winged white ants,
catches hold of the serpents
by its sharp nails
which are concealed in a sheath
of hanging skin

at dead of night
