• O man from the coast of the great water with small hamlets in seashore groves,
• where the younger sisters of the wealthy ones(?), [their] hips adorned with foliage,
• utter what is the price, in the street immersed in festival,
• for the fierce-eyed strong fish brought by the one with the boat,
• having made speed in dragging [it](?)[FNote_114] from the expanse of high waves,
• even if you lie, being without consideration, so that the mouths of gossip leave off,
• for the trouble of my friend with blossom-like collyrium eyes,
• [will] the oath too [be] lie, [your] duty known to the sea,
• from that time you newly enjoyed [her] shoulders,[FNote_115]
• coming for [her] play doll to be wasted,
• in [your] long chariot with a handle that had passed by quivering lances(?)
• to the big ghat adorned with the pollen of the broad-trunked Puṉṉai trees,
• where the short-legged swans(?) smooth [their] pretty wings on the dunes crept by hare-leaf?
