- rain eyes - live, mother, you [just] have to.
- As for [his] having joined [us] in diffuse evening,
- here, having come with choice speed(?)[FNote_70],
- resting in the excellent sand of the noisy/sweet(?)[FNote_71] seashore grove,
- while the horses with bells in rows were restrained in [their] fast gait,
- toiling ones, suffering in the confinement that diminuished the amount of [their] grace,
- so that the charioteer stops(?) [them], as strong sharks were dashing [at them],[FNote_72]
- attacking, as is proper [for them?], those who do not enter the dark backwaters,
- of vast area,
- he has not,
- - he who has the right of also roaming the nearby sea,[FNote_73]
- although the waves were rolling, with the cold wind, the coming of foam,
- on one day, so that the new egrets retreated,
- perched close to the branches of the Puṉṉai trees in the grove of tall tree-tops.
