- O you with oil-restrained(?) hair, [is] it thus for you too?
- My heart in [its] fullness shivered [and] is pitiable.
- At night came indeed the firm chariot,
- so that those drooping as high snakes' heads,
- the blue water-lilies with bundled buds whose tipped faces were shortened
- by the wheels, when the horses were swimming the cool backwaters
- with abundant water, [horses] of graceful gait that practised [their] arrow task,
- upon being shown[FNote_57] the lash, for [inducing] the possession of leaping(?)[FNote_58],
- softly(?), being afraid of it being too much, if they experience the thorn,
- of the man from the seashore grove coast[FNote_59], where the split-mouthed husband
- [of the tortoise] protects, as much as the young ones take room,
- the eggs, smelling of fish, in the shape of horn[FNote_60] pawns,
- secretly brought forth [and] buried by the fully pregnant tortoise,
- after having joined the side of heaped white sand
- by the curved backwaters, bending, so that they are spoiled, the Aṭumpu creepers.
- Without hiding
- it has indeed come at midday, superior in leaping motion,
- for the noisy little village to see,
- with strong mouths, along with the youths that sound "ol"(?)[FNote_61].
