- Please don't you[FNote_17] press our bright armlets,
- like Toṇṭi of Poṟaiyaṉ with firm chariot,
- where the little daughter gives, along with the flesh of rich fish,
- pouring forth nice(?) curry(?) stirred with Ayilai fish[FNote_18],
- the cooked rice with milk(?) from paddy, for which the price had been salt,
- to [her] father who had been kept back by [his] tasks in the long boat
- with pretty nets with straight staffs that had drawn [according to their] cruel task,[FNote_19]
- while the red prawns are shivering in the extension of the great sea.
- When seeing her turn red, stammering conspiciously(?)[FNote_20]
- about you, who is becoming weak, even when she was playing the Ōrai
- [and] doing the Vaṇṭal together with [her] garlanded companions
- on the shore set with high sand amassed by the cold wind,
- my dutiful/virtueless mother has set up heavy protection,
- to be more tight than [that on] the exactly measured [treasure] hoard
- kept in Kuṭantai by the victorious Cōḻa king with overcoming spear.
