- when having enough of the Kuravai dance in the sand brought by the east wind,
- hanging in the swing on ropes descending from the Tāḻai tree
- by the curved backwaters that are linked with the high branches of the Ñāḻal tree,
- digging the deep holes of the red crabs,
- resting in the pleasing shade of the Puṉṉai tree in the dunes,
- chasing away the birds coming to the drying [spread] of rich fish
- given by father from the depth of the great water,
- mother has brought about(?) protection, friend,
- saying "there is one chariot, revolving through the moonlit sand
- in sharp motion chosen by the charioteer,
- noisily, without telling day from night, at the big ghat."
