Civaṉ who has worn as ornaments dancing cobras that live in anthills!
(2) பசுபதியே
master of all living beings!

one who is in an exalted place!
(1) புக்கொளியூர் அவிநாசியே
one who is at the temple avināci in pukkoḷiyūr!
எழுமைக்கும் எம்பெருமானையே உற்றாய் என்று உணர்ந்து உள்ளத்தால் உள்குகின்றேன்
I think of you in my mind realising that our Lord in the relations in the seven births
பற்று ஆக வாழ்வேன்
I shall live having you as my support.

by what reason shall I forget you!

பொழில் ஆரும் சோலைப் புக்கொளியூரில் குளத்திடை இழியா குளித்த மாணி (2) என்னைக்கிறி செய்ததே
what is the playful mischief committed by the bachelor who bathed descending into the tank in puk Kōḷiyūr which has gardens of big trees and park full of young trees?
வழிபோவார்தம்மொடும் வந்து கூடிய (3) மாணிநீ ஒழிவது அழகோ சொல்லாய்
is it fitting your greatness that the bachelor who joined the group of people visiting temples should die in your presence?

எம்பெருமானை நினைந்தக்கால்
If I think of you who is our Lord.
கொங்கே (1) புகினும் எங்கே போகினும்
If I enter into Koṅku Nāṭu or anywhere else.
கூறைகொண்டு ஆறு அலைப்பார் இல்லை
there is no one who robs me on the highway of my clothes.
பிறவாமையே (2) உனைவேண்டிக்கொள்வேன்
I would request you to save me from being born again.

{$} உரைப்பார் உரை இகந்து உன்கவல்லார்தங்கள் உச்சியாய்
you desire the words of those who praise you; you are seated on the heads of those who are able to think of you, never forgetting you.
அரைக்கு ஆடு அரவா
God who has tied in the waist a cobra that can dance, spreading its hood.
ஆதியும் அந்தமும் ஆயினாய்
you are the origin and the end of all things.
புரைக் காடு சோலைப் புக்கொளியூர் அவிநாசியே
God who is at the temple, avināci, in pukkoḷiyūr, which has superior forests and parks of tender trees

காலனைக் கரைக்கால் முதலையைப் பிள்ளையைத் தரச்சொல்லு
order Kālaṉ to return the child to the crocodile and the crocodile to deliver it on the bank of the tank.

குரங்கு ஆடுசோலைக் கோயில் கொண்ட குழைக்காதனே
God who wears a men's ear-ring and dwells in the garden where monkeys dance.
அரங்கு ஆவது எல்லாம் மாய் இடுகாடு
The stage for your dance is the cremation ground where everyone perishes.
அது அன்றியும்
in addition to that.
சரம்கோலை வாங்கி (1) வரிசிலை நாணியில் சந்தித்துப் புரம் (2) கோட எய்தாய்
you shot an arrow by fixing the arrow in the bow-string as the inhabitants of the three cities deviated from the path of virtue.

[[சரக்கோல் is a combination of two nouns in apposition where the adjectival particle ஆகிய is understood.]]

the beautiful light that remains to be worshipped by the celestials by saying, salutation to you who are inferior, adding our tongues will not speak about anything else except praising you!
பூத் தாழ்சடையாய்
God who has a caṭai hanging low and wearing flowers!
புக்கொளியூர் அவிநாசியே
God who dwells at the temple, avināci in pukkoḷiyūr!

உனக்கு நான் ஆட்பட்ட குற்றமும் குற்றமே
is my nature of becoming your slave, fault?

{$} மந்தி கடுவனுக்கு (1) உண்பழம்நாடி மலைப்புறம் சந்திகள் தோறும் (2) சலம்புட்பம் இட்டு வழிபடப்புந்தி உறைவாய்
you dwell even in the minds of those monkeys, as they pour water on you adorn you with flower in the morning, noon and evening when the female monkey goes in search of eatable fruits in the sides of the mountain for giving them to the male monkey.

God who has the name of Nanti!
நரகம் புகாமை வேண்டிக் (3) கொள்வேன்
I pray to you to save me from entering hell.

உன்னைஅல்லால் பிறதேவரைப் பேணாது ஒழிந்தேன்
I gave up completely cherishing with love other gods except you
காணாது ஒழிந்தேன்
I gave up even seeing them.
காணாத கண்கள் காட்டவல்ல கறைக்கண்டனே
Civaṉ who has a black neck and who can show things to my eyes which they cannot see by themselves!
காட்டுதியேல் இன்னம் காண்பன் நான்
If you show me I shall see things, very much again.

you did not desire a white cloth; but desired the tiger's skin as your cloth.
புன் ஏறு சோலைப்புக்கொளியூரில் குளத்திடை உள் ஆடப்புக்க மாணி (1) என்னைக் கிறிசெய்தது
what was the playful prank committed by the bachelor who dived into the tank entering to bathe in pukkoḷiyūr which has in its gardens large flocks of birds?

on Civaṉ who has a spotless form and ruddy and great caṭai which stands erect in which the water increases.

the god who dwells at the temple avināci in pukkoḷiyūr
கார் ஏறு கண்டனை
and who has a black neck.
தொண்டன் ஆரூரன் கருதியசீர் ஏறு பாடல்கள் (1) செப்ப வல்லார்க்கு இல்லை துன்பம் (ஏ)
there will be no sufferings to those who can recite the verses of great fame which were composed by the devotee, ārūraṉ, thinking of Civaṉ in his mind.
