தேவர் பிரான் இடம்
the place of Civaṉ who is master of the celestials.
கன்றினோடு பிடிசூழ் தண் கழுக்குன்றமே
is cool Kaḻukkuṉṟam around which the female elephant goes with its calf.
கொன்று செய்த கொடுமையாற் பல சொல்லவே நின்ற பாவ வினைகள்தாம் பல நீங்கவே சென்று சென்று தொழுமின்
worship that shrine going there very often so that the sinful acts of killing beings to be spoken disparagingly by many people, which stay with us, to leave us.

பிறங்கு கொன்றைச் சடையின் எங்கள் பிரான் இடம்
the place of our master who wears on his caṭai glittering koṉṟai.
நிறங்கள் செய்த மணிகள் நித்திலம் கொண்டு இழிகறங்கு வெள் அருவித் தண் கழுக்குன்றமே
is cool Kalukkuṉṟam which has sounding white streams which descend carrying with gems of many colours and pearls.
இறங்கிச் சென்று தொழுமின் இன்னிசை (1) பாடியே
worship that shrine by going there bowing your heads and singing sweet music.

{$} ஆளும் நம்ம வினைகள் அல்கி அழிந்திட
our acts which bind us according to divine law diminish gradually and perish

தோளும் எட்டு உடைய மாமணிச் சோதியான் காளகண்டன் உறையும் கழுக்குன்றமே நீதியால் நித்தலும் நீள நின்று தொழுமின்
(people of this world!) worship daily according to rules, staying there for a long time, cool Kuḻukkuṉṟam where civan who has a black neck and who has the brilliance of a superior ruby and has eight shoulders.

{$} முளிறு இலங்கு மழுவாளன் முந்தி உறைவு இடம்
the place where Civaṉ who has a hot battle-axe dwells taking precedence over other shrines.
பிளிறு தீரப் பெருங்கைப் பெய்ம்மதம் மூன்று உடைக்களிறினோடு பிடிசூழ் தன் கழுக்குன்றமே
is cool Kaḻukkuṉṟam around which the female elephant goes along with its male which have a big trunk and fluid of must flowing and a roaring sound to leave it.
வெண் பொடி ஆடியை வெளிறு தீரத்தொழுமின்
(people of this world!) worship that shrine which belongs to Civaṉ who bathes in the sacred ash in order that your ignorance may leave you.

Civaṉ who is the embodiment of all virtuous acts and who has a murky caṭai.
இலைகொள் சூலப் படையன்
who has a weapon of a trident with three blades.
எந்தை பிரான் இடம்
the place of our father and master.
முலைகள் உண்டு தழுவிக் குட்டியொடு முசுக்கலைகள் பாயும் புறவின் தண் கழுக்குன்றமே
is cool Kaḻukkuṉṟam which has jungles in which the males of langur (black monkeys) leap embraced by the young which have drunk their mothers milk.
புலைகள் தீரக் தொழுமின்
worship with joined hands that shrine so that your low nature may leave you (People of this world!)

{$} மடம் உடைய அடியார்தம் மனத்தே உறவிடம் உடைய மிடறன்
Civaṉ who has in his neck poison and stays in the minds of his devotees so that their ignorance might perish.
விண்ணவர் மேலவன்
who is superior to the celestials.
படம் உடைய அரவன்தான் பயிலும் இடம்
the place where Civaṉ who has a cobra with a hood stays without leaving it.
இடம் உடைய புறவின் தண் கழுக்குன்றமே
is cool Kaḻukkuṉṟam which has jungles with forest tracts (People of this world!) (worship that shrine so that all your defects may be removed)

Civaṉ who is the form of pure knowledge and dancer.
ஊனம் இல்லா அடியார்தம் மனத்தே உற நவிலும் இடம்
the place where he stays permanently to dwell in the minds of his devotees who have no defects.
தேனும் வண்டும் மது உண்டு இன்னிசை (1) பாடவே கானம் மஞ்ஞை உறையும் தண் கழுக்குன்றமே
is cool Kaḻukkuṉṟam where the peacocks of the forest during pleasure when the tēṉ and veṇṭu hum like sweet music having drunk the honey (People of the world!) worship that shrine

{$} அந்தம் இல்லா அடியார் தம்மனத்தே உற
to dwell the nature of dwelling in the devotees who are countless.
மாலொடு நான்முகன் வந்து நாளும் வணங்கி சிந்கை (1) செய்த மலர்கள் நித்தலும் சேரவே
the nature of the heap of flowers that accumulate daily when Māl and nāṉmukaṉ come to this world and worship Civaṉ.

(2) சந்தம் நாறும் புறவின் தண் கழுக்குன்றமே
is cool Kaḻukkuṉṟam where the sandal-wood tree spreads its fragrance in the jungles.

Civaṉ who has a plai caṭai and adorn his head with a peacock feather.
குழை கொள் காதன்
who wears a mens' ear-ring in the right ear.
குழகன் தான் உறையும்(ம்) இடம்
the place where the youth dwells.
மழைகள் சாலக் கலித்து
when the clouds thunder with great sound.
நீடு உயர் வேய் அவை (1) கழைகொள் முத்தம் சொரியும் தண் கழுக்குன்றமே
is cool Kaḻukkuṉṟam where the long and superior bamboos and their shafts shed the pearls.
பிழைகள் தீரத் தொழுமின்
worship that shrine to remove all your defects.

{$} கல்லின் வெள்ளை அருவித் தண் கழுக்குன்றினை
cool Kaḻukkuṉṟu which has white streams that strike against bounders.
பல்இல் வெள்ளைத் தலையன் பயிலும் இடம்
which is the place where Civaṉ who holds a skull with all the teeth have fallen, stays without leaving it.
மல்லின் மல்கு திரள் தோள் ஊரன் வனப்பினால் சொல்லர் சொல்லித் தொழுவாரைத் தொழுமின்களே
(people of this world!) you worship those who worship Civaṉ reciting the verses with poetic beauty composed by nampi ārūraṉ who has globular shoulders with excessive strength.
