எனக்கு இனித் தினைத்தனைப் புகலிடம் அறிந்தேன்
I came to know now a small place of refuge for me also.
[[தினைத்தனைப் புகலிடம் is expressive of the humility of Cuntarar, though it is a great place of refuge.]]
பனைக்கனி பழம் படும் பரவையின் கரைமேல் வலம்புரம்
it is valampuram it is valampuram on the shore of the sea where mature fruits fall from the palmyra trees:

எனக்கு இனியவன்
Civaṉ is the sympathetic and loving god.
தமர்க்கு இனியவன்
is the same to people who love Civaṉ as Cuntarar does.
எழுமையும் மனக்கு இனியவன் தனது இடம்
is the place of sympathetic and loving god in the seven births to my mind

Civaṉ has the mountain that bent of its own accord into a bow to burn the cities; he is always new.
மரவுரி புலிஅதள் அரை மிசை மருவினன்
joined together on the waist a tiger's skin and the bark of a tree used as clothing.
அரவுரி நிரந்து
the skin of a cobra is on his body covering it completely.
அயல் இரந்து உணவிரும்பி
is desirous of eating his food by begging alms in the neighbouring places.
இரவு எரி நின்னு ஆடி தன் இடம் வலம்புரமே
valampuram is his place where he dances in the night standing in the fire.

நீறு அணிமேனியன்
Civaṉ has a body on which holy ash is red as an adornment.
நெருப்பு உமிழ் அரவினன்
wears cobras which spit fire from their eyes.
கூறு அணிகொடு மழு ஏந்தி(ய) ஓர் கையினன்
holds in his hand a cruel battle-axe that cuts things into pieces.
ஆறு அணி அவிர்சடை அழல்வளர், மழலைவெள் ஏறு அணிஅடிகள் தம் இடம் வலம்புரம்
valampuram is the place of the god who holds a loft a flag on which the form of a white and young bull is written and whose glitering caṭai which glows like fire and is adorned by the river.

கொங்கு அணைசுரும்பு உண நெருங்கிய குளிர் இளந்தெங்கொடு பனைபழம் படும் இடம்
the place where the mature fruits of palmyra and cool young cocoanut trees which are closs to each other so that the curumpu that come there drink the honey from the flowers, fall from those trees.
தடங்கடல் திரை, புடைதர, தேவர்கள் தங்கிடும் இடம் எங்கள் அடிகளது நல்லிடம் வலம்புரம்
valampuram is the good place of our god, where the celestials stay when the waves of the expansive sea dash against the shore.

Civaṉ has the cleverness to hold the cruel battle-axe.
கொலைமலிசிலையினன்
has a bow which is capable of much killing.
நெடுமதிள் சிறுமையின் நிரவவல்லவன் இடம்
the place of that god who can raze the three high cities in a very short time.
படுமணி முத்தமும் பவளமும் மிகச் சுமந்து இடுமணல் அடைகரை இடம் வலம்புரம்
is valampuram which has places adjacent to the shore where the sand that is deposited carries with it a large measure of coral and pearls that are produced in the sea

valampuram is also the place adjoining the shore of the big sea where the conches, valampuram and calañcalam, maṭe with their females.

the place of our master who dances to the tunes of the yāḻ, in the standing posture.
புரிசுரி வரிகுழல் அரிவை ஓர்பால் மகிழ்ந்து உரி உரி ஆடிதன் இடம் வலம்புரம்
valampuram is the place of Civaṉ who dances in the burning fire, having with joy a lady who tresses of curly hairs which are plaited and tied into a knot

valampuram is the place which has beautiful gardens and fields and raging waves that come one after another and in a group, where Civaṉ who is accustomed to have a skull with a offensive odour which is frequented by kites, and who adorns himself with holy ash has a caṭai coiled into a crown.
ஏறுடை(ய) அடிகள் தம் இடம் வலம்புரமே
and the place of the god who has a bull is valampuram.

those who well know the falsehood of the camaṇar who carry a network of ropes for placing waterpots and suspended from the hand and who eschew eating meat.
கண்டு அடிவீழ்ந்தவர்
knowing that, those who fell at the feet of Civaṉ.
கனைகழல் தண்டு உடைத் தண்டிதன் இனமுடை அரஉடன்
with the sound of ara which is made by the groups of devotees prominent among them being teṇṭi who holds a club as a prop, and a jimgling Kaḻal.

about valampuram which is the abode of those who has nobility of birth and who value the ships that come sailing on the sea.
அருங்குலத்து அருந்தமிழ் ஊரன் வன்தொண்டன்சொல் (1) பெருங்குலத்தவரொடு பிதற்றுதல் பெருமையே
it is greatness if one babbles along with the big crowd of devotees, the words of vaṉṟoṇṭaṉ and ūraṉ who is capable of composing rare tamiḻ songs and who was born in a pre-eminent caste
