{$} மெய்(ஐ) முற்றப்பொடிப் பூசி(ய) ஓர் நம்பி: the perfect soul who smeared the whole of his body with the sacred ash!
வேதம் நான்கும் விரித்து ஓதிய ஓர் நம்பி: the perfect soul who chanted explaining all the four vetams!
கையில் ஓர் வெண்மழு ஏந்தி(ய) ஒர் நம்பி: the perfect soul who held in his hand a bright battle-axe!.
கண் (1) மூன்று உடையான் நம்பி: the perfect soul who has the three eyes!
செய்ய நம்பி: the perfect soul who is red in colour!
சிறு செஞ்சடை நம்பி: the perfect soul who has a light red caṭai!
திரிபுரம் தீ எழச் செற்றது ஓர் வில்லால் எய்த நம்பி: the perfect soul who discharged an arrow from the bow which was bent to set ablaze the three cities!
என்னை ஆளுடை(ய) நம்பி: the perfect soul who admitted me as his protege!
(2) எழுபிறப்பும் எங்கள் நம்பி(கண்டாயே): you are our master in all the seven births.; [[கண்டாய் -expletive in the 2nd person]]; [[variant readings: (1) கண்ணுமூன்றும் உடையாய் உடையாரொருநம்பி (2) எழுபிறப்பும் மெங்கள் நம்பி (this reading will apply to all the verses in this decade)]].; [[all the Nampi except the last one are nomination of address]]; [[Nampi has the meaning of one who is possessed of all moral attributes]]

{$} முடிமேல் திங்கள் நம்பி: Nampi who wears on the head a crescent.
அடியார்பாற் சிறந்த நம்பி: Nampi who rejoices in the company of devotees!
பிறந்த(வ்) உயிர்க்கு எல்லாம் அம்கண் அருள் நம்பி: Nampi who bestows benign looks on all the living beings born in this world!
மால்விசும்பு ஆளும் அமரர் நம்பி: Nampi of the immortals who rule over the expansive heaven!
குமரன்முதல் தேவர்தங்கள் நம்பி: Nampi for the lustrous celestials beginning from Kumaraṉ.
தவத்துக்கு ஒரு நம்பி: Nampi who is without equal and fit to be worshipped; [[தவம் is here used in the sense of worship]]
(1) தாதை என்று உன் சரண் பணிந்து ஏத்தும் எங்கள் நம்பி: our Nampi at whose feet we fall and praise them saying, our father.
என்னை ஆள் உடை(ய) நம்பி: Nampi who has admitted me as your slave.

{$} (1) அன்றும் மதயானை வருந்த உரித்த வழக்கு நம்பி: Nampi who was just in flaying the elephant of must which was inimical, to be distressed; [[அன்றும் is an adjectival participle born out of the root அன்று]]; [[PP: அன்றினர் அரிஎன வருபவர் (campantar, vīḻimiḻalai (6) 6)]];; [[PP: அன்றி நின்ற அவுணர் புரம் (Do.tirunaṟaiyūrccitticcaram)]];; [[PP: அன்று இயல் உருவுகொள் அரி அயன் (Do. tiruccivapuram, (3) 9)]];; [[PP: அன்றிய அமணர்கள் (Do. tiruvallam, 10)]];; [[PP: அன்றினவர் புரம்மூன்றும் பொடியாய் வீழ (nāvukkaracar, tiruvōmāmpuliyūr 4)]];; [[PP: அன்றியவாணன் (periya tirumoḻi, 4-3-8).]] ]]
முழக்கும் கடல் நஞ்சம் அருந்தும் நம்பி: Nampi who consumed the poison that rose in the roaring ocean.
அமரர்க்கு அமுது ஈந்த (2) அருளின் நம்பி: Nampi who gave the nectar to the immortals by his benevolence; [[amarar is used not in its derivate sense but simply in the sense of tēvar.]]
பொருளால் வரு நட்டம் புரிந்த நம்பி: Nampi who performed the dance due to that quality of benevolence.
புரிநூல் உடை(ய) நம்பி: Nampi who wears a sacred thread of (three) strands.
பொழுதும் விண்ணும் முழுதும் பல ஆகி இருந்த நம்பி: Nampi who remains as the time and space and many other things in their entirety.
என்னை ஆளுடை(ய) நம்பி: Nampi who has me as his slave.

{$} அமுதா ஊறும்நம்பி: Nampi who springs as nectar in the heart.
உயிர்க்கு எல்லாம் உரிய நம்பி: Nampi who is the refuge of all living beings.
தெரிய(ம்) மறை ஆறு அங்கம் முனிவர்க்குக் கூறுநம்பி: Nampi who revealed the vētams and the six ankams to the sages to understand them.
அருங்கூற்றைக் குமைத்த நம்பி: Nampi who destroyed the god of death difficult to be destroyed by others.
(1) குமையாப் புலன் ஐந்தும் சீறும் நம்பி: Nampi who subdued all the five organs of sense which are difficult to be controlled.
திருவெள்ளடை நம்பி: Nampi who dwells in the temple Veḷḷaṭai in Tirukkurukāvūr.
செங்கண் வெள்ளைச் செழுங்கோட்டு எருது என்றும் ஏறும் நம்பி: Nampi who rides on a white bull having red eyes, and well grown horns.

{$} வரைசிலையாக் குலைத்த நம்பி கையில் பற்றும் நம்பி: Nampi who bent the mountain as a bow! and holds it in his hand.
குறுகார்எயில் மூன்றைக் குற்ற நம்பி: Nampi who destroyed the three forts of the enemies!
(1)மதியிலியேன்படு வெந்துயர் எல்லாம் எற்றும் நம்பி; Nampi who cast away all the cruel sufferings that I, who has no intellect have to undergo.
பரமானந்த வெள்ளம் பணிக்கும் நம்பி எனப்பாடுதல் அல்லால்: except singing about you as the Nampi who grants the flood of supreme bliss to your votaries.
நம்பி: unequalled great Nampi.
மற்று உனக்கு என் செயவல்லேன்: what is the thing I am capable of doing to you in return?

{$} அடிகை தொழுவார் நோய் அரித்த நம்பி: Nampi who destroyed little by little the sufferings of the devotees who worship your feet with joined hands!
முன்னை ஈண்டு உலகங்கள் ஆண்ட நம்பி: Nampi who created in the beginning the worlds close to one another!
தெரித்த நம்பி: Nampi who protected them afterwards.
ஒருசேவுடைநம்பி: Nampi who has a single bull!
சிர்பலிக்கு என்று அகம் தொறும் மெய்வேடம் தரித்த நம்பி: Nampi who put on many forms for a small quantity of alms, going to every house.
சமயங்களின் நம்பி: Nampi who is the chief of many religions!
தக்கன் தன் வேள்விபுக்கு அன்று இமையோரை இரித்த நம்பி: Nampi who drove to flee helter-skelter, the celestials who do not wink, in the distant past, entering into the place of sacrifice performed by Takkaṉ.

{$} பின்னை நம்பும் புயத்தான் நெடுமாலும் பிரமனும் என்று இவர் நாடியும் காணா நம்பி: Nampi who could not be seen though tall Māl who has shoulders, intensely desired by Piṉṉai, and Piramaṉ
உலகுநம்பி: Nampi who is the only master of the world.
உன்னை உரைசெய்யுமது அல்லால்: except praising you
ஒருவர்க்கு எய்தலாமே: is it possible for one to approach you?
முன்னைநம்பி: Nampi who existed even before other things came into being.
பின்னும் வார்சடைநம்பி: Nampi who has a long intertwined caṭai!
முழுதுஇவை: all your natures are like this.
நம்பி! இத்தனையும் தொகுத்து ஆண்டது என்னை: nambi what is the reason for admitting me as your slave, though you are so great by contracting all these greatness, not to appear visibly?
எம்பிரான் ஆய நம்பி: Nampi who is our master.

{$} சொல்லை நம்பி: Nampi who is in the form of words!
பொருளாய் நின்ற நம்பி: Nampi who remains as the meanings of those words!
தோற்றம் ஈறுமுதல் ஆகியநம்பி: Nampi who is the cause for the creation of all things and absorbing them into yourself.
அடியார்க்கு அருள் செய்யவல்லை; நம்பி: Nampi who is able to bestow your grace on your devotees.
வருந்தி உனக்கு ஆட்செயகில்லார் அல்லல் படுகின்றது என்? நம்பி: Nampi! what is the reason for people who do not do service to you taking pains, to undergo sufferings?
அணங்கு ஒரு பாகம் வைத்து எண் கணம் போற்ற நாடி இல்லம் நம்பி இடு பிச்சை கொள் நம்பி: Nampi who having placed a beautiful lady on one half, receives alms given desiring it seeking houses, when the eight classes of celestial hosts praise you!; [[எண்கணம்: எண் கணம் இறைஞ்சும் கோளிலிப் பெருங்கோயில் உளானை (cuntarar, tirukkōlakka, 8)]]

{$} நம்பி கழற்சேவடி காண்டும் என்றும் கலந்து உனைக்காதலித்து ஆட்செய்கிற்பாறை ஆண்டு, (1) அவர் முன்கதிசேர அருளும் நம்பி, நம்பி: Nampi having admitted those who wish for you and grow intimate in their minds, with the hope that we shall obtain a vision of the red lotus feet wearing kaḻal bestow your grace on them to reach quickly a higher stage of existence.
குருமாப்பிறை பாம்பைத் தீண்டு சென்னியில் (2) கன்னி தங்கத்திருத்தும் நம்பி, நம்பி: Nampi, Nampi who placed on your head a big bright crescent to come into contact with a cobra, and prepared it suitable for the maiden (Kaṅkai) to stay.
சமண் பொய்ப் பொருளாகி: being non-existent to camaṇar.
ஈண்டு நம்பி: Nampi who exists to us who believe in you, revealing you.
இமையோர் தொழும் நம்பி: Nampi who is worshipped with joined hands by the celestials who do not wink.

{$} கசியாதவர்தம்மைக் (1) கரக்கும் நம்பி: Nampi who conceals himself to those who are not tender-hearted
கசிந்தவர்க்கு இம்மையோடு அம்மையில் இன்பம் பெருக்கும்: Nampi who causes increase of happiness to those who are tender-hearted, in this birth as well as in the next birth.; [[The other lines in this verse are lost]]; [[Variant reading: கரத்திநம்பி]]
