{$} பொன்செய்த மேனியினீர்
Civaṉ who has a holy body glittering like gold!
புலித்தோலை அரைக்கு அசைத்தீர்
you tied a tiger's skin in the waist

முன்செய்த மூஎயிலும் முன்எரித்தீர்
you burnt all the three well-built forts long ago.
முதுகுன்று அமர்ந்தீர்
you dwelt in mutukuṉṟu.
மின்செய்த நுண்இடையாள் பரவை இவள் தன் முகப்பே
in the presence of this lady, paravai, who has a waist as supple as the lightning.
அடிகேள் என்செய்தவாறு
my god what is the thing you did?
அடியேன் இட்டளம் கெட (அருளீர்)
you grant your grace to remove the difficulty of your slave.

{$} உம்பரும் வானவரும்(ம்) உடனே நிற்கவே எனக்குச் செம்பொனைத் தந்தருளித் திகழும் முதுகுன்று அமர்ந்தீர்
you dwelt in eminent mutukuṉṟu having bestowed on me, superior gold, when the celestials and those who dwelt above them were standing struck with wonder.
வம்பு அமரும் குழலாள் பரவை இவள் வாடுகின்றாள்
this lady, paravai, who has a fragrant tresses of hair is pining away.

our god!
அடியேன் இட்டளம்கெட அருளீர்
grant me your grace to remove the difficulty of your slave.

{$} பத்தா
God who is the support of all things.
பத்தர்களுக்கு அருள் செய்யும் பரம்பரனே
who is the supreme being above all superior things and who bestows his grace on his devotees.
[[பற்றா has become பத்தா to suit rhyme.]]
முத்தா
who is naturally free from all bondage.
முக்கணனே
who has three eyes.
முதுகுன்றம் அமர்ந்தவனே
who dwells in mutukuṉṟam!
மைத்து ஆரும் தடங்கண் பரவை இவள் வாடாமே
this lady paravai who has eyes coated with collyrium not to pine away.
அத்தா
my father.
அடியேன் இட்டளம் கெடவே தந்தருளாய்
give back superior gold so that the difficulty of your slave may be removed

{$} மங்கை ஓர்கூறுஅமர்ந்தீர்
you desired one half as a lady.
மறை நான்கும் (1) விரித்து உரைத்தீர்
you expounded in detail all the four vētams.
திங்கள் சடைக்கு அணிந்தீர்
you adorned your caṭai with a crescent.
திகழும் முதுகுன்று அமர்ந்தீர்
you dwelt in eminent mutukuṉṟu.
கொங்கை நல்லாள் பரவைகுணம் கொண்டிருந்தாள் முகப்பே
in the presence of paravai who possesses good qualities and a good lady with beautiful breasts.
அங்கணனே
Civaṉ who has gracious looks!
அடியேன் இட்டளம் கெடவே அருளாய்
grant me the gold to remove the difficulty of your slave.

{$} மை ஆரும் மிடற்றாய்
Civaṉ who has a neck in which there is poison!
மருவார் புரம் மூன்று எரித்த செய்ஆர் மேனியனே
who has a red body and who burnt the three cities of the enemies.
திகழும் முதுகுன்று அமர்ந்தாய்
who dwelt in eminent mutukuṉṟu.
பைஆரும் அரவுஏர் அல்குலாள் இவள் வாடுகின்றாள்
this lady who has sides like the hood of the cobra is pining away.
ஐயா
the master!
அடியேன் இட்டளம் கெடத்தந்தருளாய்
give me the gold to remove the difficulty of your slave.

{$} நெடியான்(உம்) நான்முகனும் இரவியொடும் இந்திரனும் முடியால் வந்து இறைஞ்ச முதுகுன்றம் அமர்ந்தவனே
Civaṉ who remained in mutukuṉṟam where tall Māl, Piramaṉ of four faces, the sun-god and intiraṉ bow low to touch your feet with their heads, coming to the earth.
படி ஆரும் (ம்) இயலாள் பரவை இவள் தன் முகப்பே
in the presence of this lady, paravai who has a tenderness which is a model for other women.

{$} கொந்து அணவும் பொழில் சூழ்குளிர் மாமதில் மாளிகை மேல் வந்து அணவும் மதிசேர் சடை மாமுது குன்று உடையாய்
Civaṉ who has grant mutukuṉṟu, and who has on his caṭai the crescent which comes down and crawls on the mansions and the big and cool wales of fortification which are surrounded by gardens where there are bunches of flowers!
அந்தணனே
one who has sweet grace!
பந்து அணவும் விரலாள் பரவை இவள் தன் முகப்பே
in the presence of this lady, paravai who has a ball attached to her fingers.

{$} பரசு ஆரும் கரவா
Civaṉ who has a battle-axe in the hand!
பதினெண்கணமும் சூடிமுரசார் வந்து அதிர முதுகுன்றம் அமர்ந்தவனே
Civaṉ who dwelt in mutukuṉṟam for all the eighteen classes of celestial hosts to go from left to right when the drum, muracu is making a reverberating sound!
அரசே
the King of all the worlds!
விரைசேரும் குழலாள் பரவை இவள் தன்முகப்பே
in the presence of this lady, paravai, who has tresses which have fragrant.

{$} இமையோர் தனிநாயகமே
unequalled chief of the celestials who do not wink!
உலகுக்கு எல்லாம் மூத்தாய்
who is senior to all the worlds!
முதுகுன்றம் அமர்ந்தவனே
who dwelt in mutukuṉṟam!
ஏத்தாது இருந்தறியேன்
I never ceased from praising you.

பூத்து ஆரும் குழலாள் பரவை இவள் தன் முகப்பே
in the presence of this lady, paravai, who has tresses of hair in which flowers are blossoming and are found in plenty.

{$} முறையால் வந்து அமரர் வணங்கும் முதுகுன்றர்தம்மை
about Civaṉ in mutukuṉṟu to whom the immortals pay homage according to their status, coming to the earth.
பிறை ஆரும் சடையாய்! எம்பெருமான்! அருளாய் என்று
paying Civaṉ who has a caṭai on which there is a crescent! our Lord! grant me the superior gold!
மறையார்தம் குரிசில் வயல் நாவல் ஆரூரன் சொன்ன இறைஆர் பாடல்வல்லார்க்குச் சிவலொகம் (அது) எளிது (ஆம்)
attaining civalokam is easy to those who can sing the verses full of Civaṉ's grace, composed by ārūraṉ of nāvalūr which has fertile fields the illustrious person among the brahmins.
