my Lord in Kōḷili!
வாள் அனகண் மடவாள் (அவள்) வாடிவருந்தாமே குண்டையூர்ச் சிலநெல்லுப் பெற்றேன்
I got a little quantity of paddy in Kuṇṭaiyūr so that paravai, who has eyes like the sword may not be distressed pining away thinking she could not run the household.
நீள நினைந்து அடியேன் உமை நித்தலும் கைதொழுவேன்
I worship you with joined hands daily, fixing all my thoughts on you since a long time.

ஆள்இலை
there are no porters to bring them to ārūr.
அவை அட்டித்தரப்பணி (ஏ)
order somebody to carry and bring them to ārūr.

{$} வண்டு அமரும் குழலாள் உமை நங்கை ஓர் பங்குஉடையாய்
the Lord who has on one half Umai, a lady of distinction, who has tresses of hair on which bees settle!
விண்டவர்தம் புரம் மூன்று எரிசெய்த எம்வேதியனே
our brahmin who burnt the three cities of the enemies!
தெண் திரை நீள்வயல் சூழ் திருக்கோளிலி எம்பெருமான்
our master in tirukkōḷili surrounded by long fields which have clear waves in the water!
அண்டம் அது ஆயவனே
who is the whole universe!

{$} பாதி ஓர் பெண்ணை வைத்தாய்
Civaṉ! you placed a lady on one half of your person.
படரும் சடைக் கங்கைவைத்தாய்
placed the river, Kaṅkai on the spreeding caṭai.
மாதர் (1) நல்லார் வருத்தம்(ம்) அது நீயும் அறிதி அன்றே
you too know fully well the distress of the good-natured ladies of the house-hold life when there is want.
ஆதியே, அற்புதனே
Civaṉ who is older than all others! one who is capable of performing wonders!
கோது இல்பொழில் புடைசூழ் குண்டையூர்ச்சில நெல்லுப் பெற்றேன்
I got a small quantity of paddy in Kuṇṭaiyūr surrounded by defectless gardens!

what is there for me to tell you?
தொண்டைவாய் உமை நங்கையைப் புல்கி இடத்தில் வைத்தாய்க்கு ஒருபூசல் செய்தார் (1) உளரோ
are there any persons who slandered you for wedding Umai, the lady of distinction who has lips red as the common creeper of the hedges and keeping her in your left side?
கொல்லை வளம் புறவில் குண்டையூர்ச்சில நெல்லுப் பெற்றேன்
I got a small quantity of paddy in Kuṇṭaiyūr which has forest tract in which the crops of the dry land are grown.
அல்லல் களைந்து அடியேற்கு அவை அட்டித்தரப்பணி (வ)
order somebody to carry and bring them to ārūr for your slave, removing his sufferings.

{$} முல்லை முறுவல் உமை ஒரு பங்கு உடை (ய) முக்கணனே
Civaṉ with three eyes who has as a half Umai whose teeth are white as the arabian jasmine flowers!
பல் அயர்வெண் தலையில் பலிகொண்டு உழல் பாசுபதா
the pācupataṉ who wanders receiving alms in the white skull which seems to laugh with its teeth!

our Lord in tirukkōḷili which has forest tract where crops of the dry land are grown.

குரவு அமரும் குழலாள் உமைநங்கை ஓர்பங்குஉடையாய்
you have on one half Umai the lady of distinction who adorns her tresses of hair with flowrs of bottle flower tree.
பரவை பசிவருத்தம்(ம்) (அது) நீயும் அறிதியன்றே
you too know fully well the suffering of paravai due to hunger.
குரவு அமரும் பொழில்சூழ் குண்டையூர்ச்சில நெல்லுப் பெற்றேன்
I got a small quantity of paddy in Kuṇṭaiyur surrounded by garden in which the bottle-flower trees are eminent.
அரவம் அசைத்தவனே
Civaṉ who tied cobras!
அவை அட்டித்தரப்பணி (ஏ)

{$} எம்பெருமான் உனையே எப்பொழுதும் நினைந்து ஏத்துவன்
I shall praise always you only who is my Lord, fixing my thoughts on you.
வம்பு அமரும் குழலாள் ஒருபாகம் அமர்ந்தவனே
Civaṉ who desired on one half a lady who has fragrant tresses of hair!
செம்பொனின் மாளிகைசூழ் திருக்கோளிலி எம்பெருமான்
our Lord in tirukkōḷili surrounded by mansions where there is superior gold.

அன்பு (அது) ஆய் அடியேற்கு அவை அட்டித்தரப்பணி (ஏ)
order somebody to carry and bring it to ārūr bestowing love on me.

{$} அரக்கன் முடிகரங்கள் அடர்த்திட்ட எம் ஆதிப்பிரான்
our supreme Lord who crushed the heads and hands of the arakkaṉ.
பரக்கும் அரவு அல்குலாள் பரவை (அவள்) வாடுகின்றாள்
paravai who has a broad waist like the hood of the cobra is pining away.
குரக்குஇனங்கள் குதிகொள்குண்டையூர்ச்சில நெல்லுப்பெற்றேன்
I got a small amount of paddy in Kuṇṭaiyūr where group of monkeys jump in the trees.
இரக்கம் (அது) ஆய் அடியேற்கு அவை அட்டித்தரப்பணி (ஏ)
order somebody to carry and bring it to ārūr taking pity on me as I have no help of porters.

{$} பண்டையமால் பிரமன் பறந்தும் இடந்தும்(ம்) அயர்ந்தும் கண்டிலராய் அவர்கள் கழல் காண்பு அரிதுஆய பிரான்
the master whose feet and head could not be seen by the old Māl who dug the earth in search of the head and by Piramaṉ who flew into the sky in search of the feet, they becoming exhausted.
தென்திரை நீர்வயல் சூழ்திருக்கோளிலி எம்பெருமான்
our Lord in tirukkōḷili surrounded by fields having water with clear waves!

{$} கொல்லைவளம் புறவின் கோளிலி மேயவனை
on Civaṉ who dwells with desire in Kōḷili which has forest region and produce of dry lands.
நல்லவர் தாம் பரவும் திரு நாவலவூரன் (அவன்)
the native of tirunāvalur which is praised by good people.
நெல் இடஆட்கள் வேண்டி
requesting him to order some porters to carry and deliver the paddy in his house at tiruvārūr.
நினைந்து ஏந்தியபத்தும் வல்லார்
those who are capable of reciting the ten verses with which he praised Civaṉ fixing his thoughts on him.
அல்லல் களைந்து (1) உலகில் அண்டர் வானுலகு ஆள்பவரே
will certainly rule over heaven, having weeded all sufferings in this world.
