அடியார்க்கு அற்றவன் (ஆர்)
God who has decided to be completely at the disposal of his devotees and is under their control.
ஆயிழை பங்கினராம் பற்றவன் (ஆர்)
who has attachment to the lady wearing choice ornaments, who is his half.
எம் பராபரர் என்று பலர் விரும்பும் கொற்றவன் (ஆர்)
the chief who is liked by all as our god and who is the high and low things.
குறுகாதவர் ஊர் நெடுவெஞ்சரத்தால் செற்றவன் ஆர்க்கு இடம் ஆவது நம் திருநின்றியூரே
our Tiruniṉṟiyūr is the place of the god who destroyed the places of the enemies with a long and burning arrow.

God wears a garland of koṉṟai flowers which are full of fragrance.
வடிவு ஆர்ந்த திருநீறு பூசத்தினார்
who besmears his person with the beautiful holy ash

அமரர் அடிபரவச் சங்கையை நீங்க அருளி
bestowing his grace as the immortals who praised his feet, and clearing their doubt.
தடங்கடல் நஞ்சம் உண்டார்
he drank the poison of the expansive sea.
மங்கை ஓர் பாகர் மகிழ்ந்தஇடம்
the place where the Lord who has a lady on one half dwells with pleasure.
மல்குபுனல் செங்கயல் பாயும் வயல்பொலியும் திருநின்றியூரே
is tiruniṉṟiyūr which is eminent by fields full of water in which the red carp fish leaps.

அங்கம் ஆறு உகந்தார்
God is the author of the six aṅkams of the vētam, with intention.
நான் மறையார்
he has the four maṟai (vētam)
எங்கும் ஆகி
pervading everywhere without exception.
அடல் ஏறு உகந்தார்
rides on a strong bull with joy.
இசை ஏழ் உகந்தார்
He is pleased to hear music of seven fundamental notes.
முடிக்கங்கை தன்னை வேறு உகந்தார்
He stationed separately the Kaṅkai on his head, desiring it.
விரிநூல் உகந்தார்
He is happy to wear a broad sacred thread.
பரிசாந்தம் தா (க) நீறு உகந்தார்
He is pleased to smear the holy ash like the sandal-wood paste.
உறையும் இடம் ஆம் திருநின்றியூர்
tiruṉṟiyūr is the place where the god of the above mentioned greatness dwells.

God could not stay in the minds of deceitful persons.
நறுநெய், தயிர், பால், அஞ்சும் கொண்டாடிய வேட்கையினார்
He had great desire to bathe in sweet-smelling ghee, curd and milk which are the main ingredients of five products got from the cow (pañcakavviyam)
அதிகைப்பதியே தஞ்சம் கொண்டார்
He had as his support the city of atikai only.
தமக்கு என்றும் இருக்கை சரண் அடைந்தார் நெஞ்சம் கொண்டார்க்கு இடம் ஆவது நம் திருநின்றியூர்
our tiruṉṟiyūr is the place for him who occupied the minds of those devotees who took refuge in him, as his permanent place of hereditary right.

He will feel happy on seeing the good conduct and actions of those who are able to cherish his feet with love.
அடி போற்று இசைப்ப மாலொடு நான்முகன் இந்திரன் மந்திரத்தால் வணங்க
when Māl, the four-faced Piramaṉ and intiraṉ praised his feet and worshipped them with mantiram.
நீல நஞ்சு உண்டவருக்கு இடம் ஆம் திருநின்றியூர்
tiruniṉṟiyūr is the place of the god who drank the poison of blue colour.

on the god who is the eminent bliss in tiruniṉṟiyūr where the services of the devotees of accumulated fame never cease.
திருநாவல் ஆரூரன் உரைத்த தமிழ் பத்தும் வல்லார்
those who are able to say the ten tamiḻ verses composed by ārūraṉ, a native of tirunāvalūr.

as their Karnams leave them.
பாரும் விசும்பும் தொழப் பரமன் அடி கூடுவர்
will reach the feet of the supreme Civaṉ to be worshipped by the people of this world and the tever in heaven.
