திருஉடையார்
Civaṉ has the wealth of eternal bliss.
திருமால் அயனாலும் உரு உடையார்
has in his form Tirumāl and Ayaṉ

உமையாளை ஓர்பாகம் பரிவு உடையார்
desires on one half Umaiyāḷ.
(1) அடைவார் வினை தீர்க்கும் புரிவு உடையார் உறை பூவணம் ஈதோ
is this shrine Pūvaṇam where he who removes with desire all the acts of those who seek refuge in him?
[[This is in the form of questioning the devotees, out of joy. This will apply to the following verses also.]]

எண்ணியிருந்தும் கிடந்தும் நடந்தும் அண்ணல் எனா நி*ஷ*வார்வினை தீர்/ப்பார்
Civaṉ will remove the acts of those who esteem him as the foremost among gods having decided, whether standing, lying or walking.

நின்றும் இருந்தும் கிடந்தும் நடந்தும் யாம், என்றும் நினைந்தாலும் என்கொலோ சென்றுதன் தான்வானவர் இறைஞ்சும் தண்சாரல் காளத்தி, ஆள்வான் அருளாதவாறு (Kayilaipāti kāḷatti pāti antāti, 42);
நின்றாலும் இருந்தாலும் கிடந்தாலும் நடந்தாலும், மென்றாலும் துயின்றாலும் விழித்தாலும்இ இமைத்தாலும், மன்றாடும் மலர்ப்பாதம் ஒருகாலும் மறவாமை, குன்றாத உணர்வுடையார் தொண்டராம் குணம் மிக்கார் (periya puraṇam, pattaraippaṇivār puraṇam, 7)]]
பண் இசை ஆர் மொழியார் பலர் பாடப் புண்ணியனார் உறை பூவணம் ஈதோ
is this shrine pūvāṇam where the god who is the embodiment of all virtues dwells, and where many ladies whose words are like melody-types, sing his praises?

தெள்ளிய பேய்பல பூதம் அவற்றொடு நள்ளிருள் நட்டம் (அது) ஆடல் நவின்றோர்
Civaṉ who was practising dance at midnight along with the pēy and many pūtams which have a clear idea about Civaṉ's supremacy.
புள்ளுவர் ஆகுமவர்க்கு அவர்தாமும் புள்ளுவனார் உறை பூவணம் ஈதோ
is this shrine pūvanam where Civaṉ himself practises deceit towards deceitful persons?

நிலன் உடை(ய)மான் மறி கையது
a young dear which lives on the earth is in Civaṉ's hand.
தெய்வக்கனல் உடை(ய) மாமழு ஏந்தி
holding a red-hot big iron which has a fire of divine nature.
ஓர் கையில் அனல் உடையார்
has in another hand fire.
அழகு ஆர்சென்னிப் புனல் உடையார் உறை பூவணம் ஈதோ
is this shrine pūvaṇam where the god who has water on his beautiful head?

நடை உடை(ய) நல்எருது ஏறுவர்
Civaṉ rides on a good bull which has a quick gait.
நல்லார் கடைகடைதோறு இடுமின்பலி என்பார்
will say, going to every entrance of the houses of the ladies, gime alms
துடிஇடை நல்மடவாளொடு மார்பில் பொடி அணிவார் உறை பூவணம் ஈதோ
is this shrine pūvaṇam where the god who smears on his chest sacred ash to appear beautiful, being united with a lady of good nature, who has a waist like the middle portion of a drum tapering in the middle?

(1) மின் அனையாள் திருமேனி விளங்க ஓர் தன் அமர் பாகம்அது ஆகிய சங்கரன்
Civaṉ who does good, has placed on one half of his holy body a lady who is as bright as the lightning to be eminent (miṉṉammai is the name of the goddess in this shrine).
(2) முன்நினையார் புரம் மூன்று எரி ஊட்டிய பொன் அனையான் உறை பூவணம் ஈதோ
is this shrine puvaṇam where Civaṉ who is as bright as gold and who set fire to the three cities of the acurar who did not think of him?

மிக்கு இறை ஏயவின் (1) துன்மதியால் இட
Irāvaṇaṉ who was on the end of his pride thinking of his superiorty only wanted to throw the mountain, Kayilai by lifting it.
நக்கு
with a smile born out of anger.
இறையே விரலால் இற ஊன்றி
pressing down a little to crush him.
நெக்கு இறையே நினைவார் தனிநெஞ்சம்புக்கு உறைவான் உறை பூவணம் ஈதோ
is this shrine pūvaṇam where Civaṉ who enters into the unequalled minds of those who think of him with melted hearts for a moment?

சீரின் மிகப்பொலியும் திருப்பூவணம்
in tiruppūvaṇam which is very eminent by its fame.
விருப்பு ஆர இடமாக உறைவான்தனை
on Civaṉ who dwells as his place to the complete satisfaction of his desire.
ஊரன் உரைத்த சொல்மாலைகள் பத்து (இவை) பாரில் உரைப்பவர் பாவம் அறுப்பர்(ஏ)
those who recite these ten verses which are garlands of words composed by ūraṉ, in this world, will root out sins.
