கண் ஆரக் கண்டேன் நானே
I had a full view to the complete satsifaction of my eyes.
மூ விலை வேற் கையானை
Civaṉ who holds in his hand a trident of three blades.
மூர்த்தி தன்னை
who has visible form
முது பிணக்காடு உடையானை
who has the oldest cremation ground which has corpses, as his stage
முதல் ஆனானை
who is the origin of all things.
ஆவினில் ஐந்து உகந்தானை
who liked being bathed in the five products of the cow.
அமரர் கோனை
who is the King of the immortals.
ஆலாலம் உண்டு உகந்த (1) அம்மான் தன்னை
who is the god who became great by consuming the poison by name, ālālam
பூவினின் மேல் நான் முகனும் மாலும் போற்றப் புணர்வு அரிய பெருமானை
who is the god who is difficult to be approached to pay obeisance by Piramaṉ of four faces who is seated on a (lotus) flower and Māl
புனிதன் தன்னை
who is pure and holy.
காவலனை
who protects all things.
கழுக்குன்றம் அமர்ந்தான் தன்னை
who dwells with desire in Kaḻukkuṉṟu.
கற்பகத்தை
who has unbounded liberality like the divine Kaṟpakam tree.

கற்பகத்தைக் கண் ஆரக் கண்டேன் நானே

பல் ஆடு தலை சடைமேல் உடையான் தன்னை
Civaṉ who has on his caṭai skulls from which teeth are visible
பல் ஆடு தலை
may also mean the skull in which the teeth are shaking
பாய் புலித் தோல் உடையானை
who has the dress of a tiger that pounces on its prey

பகவன் தன்னை
who has six qualities;
[[ஐசுவரியம்: வீரம்: புகழ்: திரு: ஞானம்: வைராக்கியம்]]
சொல்லொடு பொருள் அனைத்தும் ஆனான் தன்னை
who is the words and all their meanings.
சுடர் உருவில் என்பு அராக் கோலத் தானை
who has adorned his body which is like the fire, with bones and cobras;

அல்லாத காலனை முன் அடர்த்தான் தன்னை
who killed Kalaṉ who undertook the unrighteous act of matching the life of mārkkaṇṭēyaṉ, in the distant past.
ஆலனி கீழ் இருந்தானை
who sat under the banyan tree.
அமுது ஆனானை
who is the sweet nectar
கல்லாடை புனைந்தருளும் காபாலியை
and who is the Kāpāli who has donned a dress soaked in red ochre.
