கோடிகா அமர்ந்து உறையும் குழகன்
the youth who dwells with pleasure in Kōṭikā
கண் தலம் சேர் நெற்றி இளங்காளை
is a youth of sixteen years of age who has an eye on the forehead
கல் மதில் சூழ் கந்த மாதனத்தான்
is in Kantamātaṉam which is surrounded by a wall of enclouse of adjacent hills (Kantamātaṉam is a hill sacred to Civaṉ like Kailācam)
மண்டலம் சேர் மயக்கு அறுக்கும் மருந்து
He is the remedy for the ignorance which is the cause for being born in several worlds
மதிற் கச்சி ஏகம்பம் மேயான்
He dwells with desire in ēkampam in Kacci which has a wall of enclouse
விண் தலம் சேர் விளக்கு ஒளியாய் நின்றான்
He is the shining light in the heaven
மீயச்சூர் பிரியாத விகிர்தன்
He who is different from the world, never leaves miyaccūr (miyaccūr is a shrine in tañcāvūr Dt.,)
கொண்டல் அம் சேர் கண்டத்து எம் கூத்தன்
He is our dancer who has a neck as beautiful as the black cloud (Kaṇtāi in all the seven lines in this verse and in the following verses are expletives)

பரலோக நெறி காட்டும் பரமன்
the supreme god who shows the path to the world of eternal bliss
செண்டாடி அவுணர்புரம் செற்றான்
He destroyed the cities of the avuṇar by ruining them
திருவாரூர்த் திருமூலட்டானன்
He is in tirumūlaṭṭāṉam in tiruvarūr;

படி மலிந்த பல் பிறவி அறுப்பான்
will completely destroy the many births which are countless in this world
பற்று அற்றார் பற்றவனாய் நின்றான்
