{$} அமரர் புரிந்து தொழுது ஏத்தும் புகழ் (1) தக்கோன் (காண்)
Civaṉ is worthy of praise, and is praised and worshipped with joined hands by the immortals, with love.
போர்விடையின் பாகன்(காண்)
is the master of the bull which can give fight.
புவனம் ஏழும் விரிந்து பல உயிர்ஆகி விளங்கினான் (காண்)
became renowned, himself being many living beings spreading himself as the seven worlds.
விரைக்கொன்றைக் கண்ணியான் (காண்)
wears a chaplet of fragrant koṉṟai flowers.
வேதம் நான்கும் தெரிந்து முதற்படைத்தோனைச் சிரம் கொண்டோன் (காண்)
severed one head of Piramaṉ who created everything at the beginning of creation having learnt all the four vetams.
தீர்த்தன் (காண்)
is very pure.
திருமால் ஓர் (2) பாகத்தான் (காண்)
has tirumāl on one half.
திருந்து வயல் புடைதழுவு திருப்புத்தூரில் திருத்தளியான்(காண்)
is at tiruttali in tirupputtūr which is surrounded on all sides by fields prepared and made suitable for cultivation (tiruttali is the name of the temple)

{$} வார் ஆரும் முலைமங்கை பாகத்தான் (காண்)
Civaṉ has as a half a lady of distinction on whose breast a bodice is worn.
மாமறைகள் ஆயவன் (காண்)
is himself the great vētams.
மண்ணும் விண்ணும் கூர் ஆர் எழுந்தழலவனும் காற்றும் நீரும் குலவரையும் ஆயவன் (காண்)
is himself the earth, the sky, the fire that is hidden and grows and appears when wanted, the air, the water and the chief mountain ranges.
கொடு நஞ்சு உண்ட கார் ஆரும் கண்டன் (காண்)
has a neck resembling the sable cloud as he consumed the cruel poison;

Civaṉ is ever the husband of Umayāḷ whose waist is like the lightning and the creeper
பொருப்பு (1) வலிச்சிலைக் கையோன் (காண்)
holds in his hand a strong bow of a mountain.
நன்பாட்டுப் புலவனாய்ச் சங்கம் ஏறி
ascending the academy of poets assuming the form of a poet who can compose good verses.
நற்கனகக்கிழி தருமிக்கு அருளினோன் (காண்)
granted the handsome gold tied in a piece of cloth to tarumi (this is one of the sixty four sports of Civaṉ in maturai).
கடிக்கொன்றை பொன் காட்ட
the fragrant koṉṟai resembles the gold.
மருங்கே நின்ற புனக் காந்தள் கைகாட்ட
when the flowers of malabar glory lily in the sylvan tract which grows nearby, resembles the hand of the supplicants.

seeing this.
வண்டு தென்காட்டும் செழும்புறவின் திருப்புத்தூரில் திருத்தணியான்(காண்)
is at tiruttaḷi in tirupputtūr situated in the forest tract where the bees hum like music.

Civaṉ is sitting majestically to be praised and made obeisance to by Ayaṉ who is seated in a lotus flower which has very many petals and by Māl.
தோடு ஏறு மலர்க் கடுக்கை வன்னி மத்தம் துன்னிய செஞ்சடையான் (காண்)
has a red caṭai in which koṉṟai of many petals, leaves of indian masquit and datura flowers, are crowded together.
துகள்தீர் சங்கம் மாடு ஏறி முத்து ஈனும் கானல் வேலி மறைக்காட்டு மாமணி (காண்)
is the big gem in maṟaikāṭu surrounded by the sea-shore gardens where the flawless oyster climbs up on the side and brings forth the pearl.
வளம்கொள் மேதி (1) சேடு ஏறி மடுப்படியும் திருப்புத்தூரில் திருத்தளியான் (காண்)
is at tiruttaḷi in tirupputtūr where the great buffaloes climb up on an elevated bank and plunge into the pool.

Civaṉ expelled the irresistible act which leads to birth and is like disease.
காமரு பூங்கச்சி ஏகம்பத்தான் (காண்)
is at ēkampam is beautiful and lovable Kacci.
பெருமருவு பேர் உலகில் பிணிகள் தீர்க்கும் பெரும்பற்றத்தண்புலியூர் மன்றாடி (காண்)
is the dancer in the golden hall of cool perumpaṟṟappuliyūr which itself removes the diseases in the big world which has greatness.
தருமருவு கொடைத் தடக்கை (2) அளகைக் கோன்தன் (3) சங்காத்தி
is the friend of the Lord of aḷakai who has a big hand as liberal as the tree Kaṟpakam in heaven
(3) ஆரூரில் தனியானை (காண்)
is the unequalled elephant in ārūr

Civaṉ performed dance joining with the pūtams to be witnessed by Umayāl who has shoulders resembling bamboo.
கையில் வெய்ய பாம்பு ஆடப் படுதலையில் பலி (1) கொள்வோன் (காண்)
receives alms in the dead skull when the cruel cobra held in the hand dances spreading its hood.
பவளத்தின் பருவரைபோல் படிவத்தான் (காண்)
has a body red like a big mountain of coral.
தாம்பு ஆடு சினவிடையே பகடாக்கொண்ட சங்கரன் (காண்)
is cankaraṉ (dispenser of good things) who has as his elephant the angry bull that is tethered in a rope.
பொங்கு அரவக் கச்சையோன் (காண்)
wears as a belt a cobra that bursts in anger.
சேம்பு ஆடு வயல் புடை சூழ் திருப்புத்தூரில் திருத்தனியான்(காண்)
is at tiruttaḷi in tirupputtūr surrounded on all sides by fields where arrow head aquatic plant dances in the breeze.

Civaṉ wore on his loose caṭai koṉṟai flowers united with fragrance, shining crescent and leaves of indian mesquit.
பொறிவிரவு கதநாகம் அக்கினோடு பூண்டவன்(காண்)
adorned himself with an angry cobra united with spots and bones.
பொருபுலித்தோல் ஆடையான் (காண்)
has a dress of the skin of a tiger capable of fighting.
அறிவு அரிய நுண்பொருள்கள் ஆயினான் (காண்)
is himself minute things which could not be easily known
ஆயிரம் பேர் உடையவன் (காண்)
has one thousand names.
அம் தண் கானல் செறிபொழில் சூழ் மணிமாடத் திருப்புத்தூரில் திருத்தனியான் (காண்)

Civaṉ the embodiment of all virtuous acts, who killed the kālaṉ (the god of death) in order to protect the brahmin who approached him and sought refuge in him.
வெள்நகை வெள்வனையாள் அஞ்ச, மிக்கு எதிர்ந்த கரி உருவ (2) உரித்த கோன் (காண்)
the Lord who flayed an elephant which came opposing him with pride, to make the lady with white teeth wearing white bangles, frightened.
(3) வெண்மதியைக் கலை சேர்த்த திண்மையோன் (காண்)
the strong god who added the phases to the white crescent
அக்கு அரும்பு பெரும்புன்னை நெருங்குசோலை ஆரூருக்கு (4) அதிபதி (காண்)
the Lord of ārūr which has gardens where the mast-wood trees which put forth buds like the chank beads, are crowded; (chank-beads are compared to the buds of mast-wood trees)

கொடுஞ்சினத்தை அடங்கச் செற்று ஞானத்தை மேல் மிகுத்தல் கோளாக் கொண்ட பெற்றியன் (காண்)
has the nature of increasing the spiritual wisdom having overcome and subdued the cruel auger, to his devotees.
பிறங்கு அருவிக் கழுக்குன்றத்து எம்பிஞ்ஞகன் (காண்)
is the destroyer who dwells in Kaḻukkuṉṟam which has glittering mountain streams.

Civaṉ created a discus which tore the body of calantaraṉ who estimated his own strength as superior to others.
உலகு சூழும் வரம் மதித்த கதிரவனைப் பல் (1) கொண்டான்(காண்)
seized the teeth of the sun who is esteemed by all and goes round the world.
வானவர்கோன் புயம் நெரித்த வல்லாளன் (காண்)
is the mighty person who crushed the shoulders of the king of the celestials.
அர மதித்துச் செம்பொன்னின் ஆரம் பூணா அணிந்தவன் (காண்)
put on the cobras esteeming them as golden garlands and other ornaments (அரா has become அர)
