பாட்டு ஆன நல்ல தொடையாய் (போற்றி)
Civaṉ who wears never-fading garlands of poetry,

பரிசை அறியாமை நின்றாய் (போற்றி)
you remained without anybody knowing your nature.
சூட்டு ஆன திங்கள் முடியாய் (போற்றி)
you wear a chaplet of a crescent on your head.
தூமாலை மத்தம் அணிந்தாய் (போற்றி)
you adorned yourself with a pure garland of koṉṟai and datura flowers.

you desired being bathed in the five products of the cow.
அடங்கார் புரம் எரிய நக்காய் (போற்றி)
you smiled to burn the cities of the enemies.

you flayed the skin from the body of a wild elephant

you do not have the slightest deception;

you are partial to music which has all the seven notes.
பண்ணொடு யாழ் வீணை பயின்றாய் (போற்றி)
you were playing on yāḻ which can produce music and on viṇai

you have a half in which a lady who has a waist like the drum tapering towards the middle.

you remained not to seen by the two Māl and Piramaṉ who searched for you.

you grant your grace knowing the menial services rendered by your devotees.
அமரர் பதி ஆளவைத்தாய் (போற்றி)
you placed your devotees to rule over the city of the immortals.
கடியார் புரம் மூன்றும் எய்தாய் (போற்றி)
you shot an arrow on all the three cities of the cruel people.

you are a varity to Piramaṉ of four faces and Māl

you are the cause for all the directions in which the air makes a sound.
