Having consumed the poison that rose in the ocean in which there are waves, as nectar.
அமரர்கள் தம்தலைகாத்த ஐயர்
the god of respectability who saved the lives of the immortals.
(1)செம்பொன்சிலை எடுத்து மாநாகம் நெருப்புக் கோத்துத் திரிபுரங்கள் தீ இட்ட செல்வர் (போலும்)
the god who set fire to the three cities by taking the bow of Mēru (golden mountain) firing the great cobra as string, and fire as the tip of the arrow.

you granted the rule over the heaven for the immortals and Kantaruvar living in heaven who worshipped with mantiram contained in the Vētam, and water, playing upon the flute of sweet sound, and montai, vīnai, and lute and praised you

கறைகலந்த பொழிற்கச்சிக்கம்பம் மேய கனவயிரத்திரள் தூணே கலிசூழ் மாடம் மறைகலந்த மழபாடி வயிரத்தூணே என்று என்று நான் அரற்றி நைகின்றேன்

{$} உரம் கொடுக்கும் இருள்மெய்யர் மூர்க்கர் பொல்லா ஊத்தை வாய்ச் சமணர்தமை உறவாக்கொண்ட பரம் கெடுத்து
Destroying the load of sins having been associated in a friendly manner with camaṇar of filthy mouths, wicked and obstinate persons, who have dark bodies which are made strong by nutritious foods.
இங்கு அடியேனை ஆண்டுகொண்ட பவளத்தின்திரள்தூணே
the globular pillar made of coral who admitted me, your serf, into your grace in this world!
பசும்பொன் முத்தே
pearls which are set in gold plates!
புரம் கெடுத்து
destroying the cities
பொல்லாதகாமன் ஆகம் பொடியாக விழித்தருளி
Having opened your frontal eye to reduce to ashes the body of the mischievous Kāmaṉ.
புவியோர்க்கு என்றும் வரம்கொடுக்கும் மழபாடிவயிரத்தூணே என்று என்று நான் அரற்றி நைகின்றேன்

{$} ஊன் இகந்த ஊண் உறிக்கையர் குண்டர் பொல்லா ஊத்தைவாய்ச்சமணர் உறவாகக்கொண்டு
Being intimately associated with the camaṇar having filth accumulated in their teeth, who are wicked and low, who carry a network of ropes to keep water-pots suspended from the hand and who have eschewed meat from their food.

ஞான அகம் சேர்ந்து உள்ள வயிரத்தை நண்ணா நாயேனைப் பொருளாக ஆண்டுகொண்ட, மீன் அகம் சேர் வெள்ள நீர் விதியாற்சூடும் வேந்தனே
the King who bears on the head the floods (of Kaṅkai) which has fish, who admitted into your grace your devotee, who is as low as a dog thinking to be of any importance and who did not approach you who are like a diamond which dwells in the minds of people having spiritual illumination'

Having destroyed to perish the head of Nāṉmuḵaṉ (Piramaṉ) who had many heads and the graceful head of Tirumāl.
உரம் ஏற்ற இரவிபல் தகர்த்து
knocking out the teeth of the sun who had great strength
சோமன் (1) ஒளிர்கலைகள் பட உழக்கி
trampling down under the feet the shinning phases of the moon, to perish.
உயிரைநல்கி
granting their lives.
நரைஏற்றவிடை ஏறி
riding on a white bull.
நாகம் பூண்ட நம்பியையே மறைநான்கும் ஓலம் இட்டு வரம் ஏற்கும் மழபாடி வயிரத்தூணே என்று என்று நான் அரற்றி நைகின்றேன்

{$} சினம்திருத்தும் சிறுப்பெரியார்குண்டர்தங்கள் செதுமதியார் தீவினைக்கே விழுந்தேன்
Having sunk low in the sins of evil-minded low persons, who are great people possessing meanness and who have given up anger
[[சினம் திருத்தும்: the underlined word is used ironically, சிறுப்பெரியார் usually this word is used in the sense of great persons even at a young age; here it is used as big people having low qualities.]]
தேடிப் புனம் திருத்தும் பொல்லாத பிண்டிபேணும் பொறியிலியேன்தனைப் பொருளா ஆண்டுகொண்டு
having admitted as his protege as a worthy thing, who had no wisdom and cherished with love the evil asoka tree which grows in the forest region converting it to be suitable for growing that tree.
தனம் திருத்தும் அவர் திறத்தை ஒழியப்பாற்றி
and having removed me away from the group of women and adorn their breasts.
தயாமூலதன்மவழி எனக்கு நல்கி
granting me with grace the path of the righteousness which has compassion on all being as its base.
மனம் திருத்தும் மழபாடி வயிரத்தூணே என்று என்று நான் அரற்றி நைகின்றேன்

our god who has a curly caṭai which holds pure and clear water and who removes the sorrow which comes in the wake of births which are comparable to whirlpools!
இழிப்பு அரிய பசு பாசப்பிறப்பை நீக்கும் என் துணையே
my companion who removes the birth which is the result of being a living being with attachments, and which load cannot be known off by my own skill.
