{$} நீயே ஓசைஒலிஎலாம் ஆனாய்
you only are the sound that makes no sense and the sound that is useful in forming word
நீயே உலகுக்கு ஒருவனாய் நின்றாய்
you only are the unequalled chief for the world
நீயேவாசம் மலர் எலாம் ஆனாய்
you only are the fragrant flowers.
நீயே மலையான் மருருகனாய் நின்றாய்
you only are the son-in-law of the King of mountains.
நீயே பேசப்பெரிதும் இனியாய்
you only are exceedingly sweet to be praised.
நீயே பிரானாய் அடி என்மேல் வைத்தாய்
you only placed your feet on my head, being my master.
நீயே தேசவிளக்கு எலாம் ஆனாய்
you only are the bright lights such as sun, moon and fire.
திருஐயாறு அகலாத செம்பொற்சோதீ
you who are like the brightness of the pure gold and who never leaves Tiruvaiyāṟu!
[[நீயே: the ஏ in this word excludes other gods, so it is பிரிநிலை ஏகாரம்; this will apply to all such words in this decade.]]
[[அடி என்மேல் வைத்தாய்: by this, the fact of Civaṉ placing his feet on the head of Tirunāvukkaracar in Nallūr to remove the blot of having been a jain, is alluded to; this fact is mentioned in all the ten verses]]

{$} நீயே நோக்கு அரிய திருமேனி உடையாய்
you only have a holy body which cannot be seen with the help of the physical eyes.
நீயே நோவாமே நோக்கு அருள்வல்லாய்
you only are capable of granting the spiritual vision without undergoing any suffering.
நீயே காப்பு அரிய ஐம்புலனும் காத்தாய்
you only controlled the five senses of the body which are difficult to be controlled.
நீயே காமனையும் கண்அழலால் காய்ந்தாய்
you only burnt with the fire issuing from the frontal eye Kāmaṉ (cupid) also.
நீயே ஆர்ப்பு அரிய மாநாகம் ஆர்த்தாய்
you only tied a big cobra which is difficult to be tied.
நீயே அடியான் என்று அடி என்மேல்வைத்தாய்
you only placed your feet on me thinking that I am your slave.
நீயே தீர்ப்பு அரிய வல்வினை நோய் தீர்ப்பாய்
you only will cure me of my irresistible Karmams and incurable diseases.

{$} நீயே கனத்தகத்துக்கடுஞ்சுடராய்நின்றாய்
you only are the bright light in the lightning of the clouds.
நீயே கடல்வரைவான் ஆகாயம் ஆனாய்
you only are the ocean, mountain, the sky and the cosmic space.
நீயே தனத்தகத்துத் தலைகலனாக் கொண்டாய்
you only had the skull as a begging bowl to indicate your rich state!
நீயே சார்ந்தாரைத் தகைந்து ஆளவல்லாய்
you only are able to admit into your grace by preventing people from going to other gods for help.
நீயே மனத்திருந்தகருத்து அறிந்து முடிப்பாய்
you only will fulfill the wishes that are in the minds of people.
நீயே மலர்ச்சேவடி என்மேல் வைத்தாய்
you only placed your feet on my head.
நீயே சினத்து இருந்த திருநீலகண்டன்
you only are the beautiful and holy god who retained the angry poison in your neck.

{$} நீயே வான் உற்ற மாமலைகள் ஆனாய்
you only became the big mountains which seem to touch the sky.
நீயே வடகயிலை மன்னி இருந்தாய்
you only were seatted permanently in the Kayilai which is in the north.
நீயே ஊன் உற்றஒளிமழுவாட்வடையாய்
you only have a bright weapon of a batttle-axe to which flesh is sticking.
நீயே ஒளிமதியோடு அரவு புனல்வைத்தாய்
you only placed on your head a bright crescent, cobra and water.
நீயே ஆன் உற்ற ஐந்தும் அமாந்தாய்
you only were partial towards the five products of the cow.
நீயே அடியான் என்று அடிஎன்மேல் வைத்தாய்
you only placed your feet on my head taking me to be your devotees.
நீயே தேன் உற்ற சொல் மடவாள் பங்கன்
you only have a lady whose words are as sweet as honey, as your half.

{$} நீயே பெண்ஆண் பிறப்பு இலியாய் நின்றாய்
you only were without being born as female and male.
நீயே பெரியார்கட்கு எல்லாம் பெரியாய்
you only are greater them all others who are considered great.
நீயே உண்ணாஅருநஞ்சம் உண்டாய்
you only drank the rare poison which no one else could drink.
நீயே ஊழிமுதல்வனாய் நின்றாய்
you only create time to roll on as aeons.
நீயே கண்ணாய் உலகுஎலாம்காத்தாய்
you only protect the living beings of the world besides being their mental eye.
நீயே கழற்சேவடி என்மேல் வைத்தாய்
you only placed your red feet wearing anklets on my head.
நீயே திண் ஆர் மழுவாட்படையாய்
you only possess the strong weapon of a battle-axe.

{$} நீயே உற்றிருந்த உணர்வு எலாம் ஆனாய்
you only were the knowledge that understands all things.
நீயே உற்றவர்க்கு ஓர் சுற்றமாய் நின்றாய்
you were the unequalled relation to those who approched you.
நீயே கற்றிருந்த கலைஞானம் ஆனாய்
you only were the knowledge gained from arts which are studied by all.
நீயே கற்றவர்க்கு ஓர்கற்பகமாய் நின்றாய்
you only were like the Kaṟpakam tree to learned people

நீயே பெற்றிருந்த தாயவளின் நல்லாய்
you only are better than the mother who gave birth to me.
நீயே பிரானாய் அடிஎன்மேல் வைத்தாய்
you only placed your feet on my head being my master.
நீயே செற்று இருந்த திருநீலகண்டன்
you only are the holy black-necked one who controlled the vehemence of the poison.

{$} நீயே எல்லா உலகமும் ஆனாய்
you only are pervading all the worlds
நீயே ஏகாம்பம் மேவிஇருந்தாய்
(for the convenience of devotees) you were in ēkampam, out of your boundless grace. (From this we learn that nāvukkaracar had great attachment to Kacci ēkampam)
நீயே நல்லாரை நன்மை அறிவாய்
you only understand the good conduct of good people and will bestow your grace on them.(நல்லாரை-நல்லாரது
this is like the sentence பசுவைப்பாலைக் கறந்தான் where பசுவை means பசுவினது (of the cow);
[[வழிபடுவோரை வல்லறிதி என்றது, அறிந்து அவர்களுக்கு அருள் செய்வை என்பதாம் (puṟam, 10-1, old commentary)]]
நீயேஞானச்சுடர் விளக்காய் நின்றாய்
you only are the bright lamp of spiritual wisdom.
நீயே பொல்லாவினைகள் அறுப்பாய்
you only will cut at the root of bad Karmams (actions)
நீயே புகழ்ச் சேவடி என்மேல் வைத்தாய்
you only placed the red feet of great fame on my head.
நீயே செல்வாய செல்வம் தருவாய்
you only will give the wealth of eternal bliss which is the most iminent among the riches.

{$} நீயே ஆவினில் ஐந்தும் அமர்ந்தாய்
you only desired to be bathed in all the five products of the cow.
நீயே அளவு இல் பெருமை உடையாய்
you only have greatness which is limitless.
நீயே பூவினில் நாற்றமாய் நின்றாய்
you only were the fragrance in flowers.
நீயே போர்க்கோலம் கொண்டு எயில் எய்தாய்
you only shot an arrow at the forts wearing martial attere.
நீயே நாவின் நடுவுரையாய் நின்றாய்
you only were the impartial words in the tongue.
நீயே நண்ணி அடி என்மேல் வைத்தாய்
you only placed your feet on my head, approaching me.
நீயே தேவர் அறியாத தேவன்
you only are the tēvaṉ when the minor deities could not know.

{$} நீயே எண்திசைக்கும் ஒண்சுடராய் நின்றாய்
you only are the bright light that illuminates all the eight directions.
நீயே ஏகம்பம்மேய இறைவன்
you only are the Lord who resides in ēkampam with desire (see 7th verse)
நீயே வண்டு இசைக்கும் நறுங்கொன்றைத் தாராய்
you only wear the garland of koṉṟai on which bees hum.
நீயே வாரா உலகு அருளவல்லாய்
you only are capable of granting the world from which there is no returning. (வாரா உலகம்-சிவலோகம் civalōkam)
நீயே தொண்டு இசைத்து உன் அடிபரவ நின்றாய்
you only were here to accept the services of the devotees, to praise you.
நீயே தூமலர்ச்சேவடி என்மேல் வைத்தாய்
you only placed your red feet beautiful like the flawless flower, on my head.
நீயே திண்சிலைக்கு ஓர் சரங்கூட்டவல்லாய்
you only are capable of fixing the unequalled arrow to the strong bow (of mēru mountain)

{$} நீயேவிண்டர்புரம் மூன்றும் எய்தாய்
you only shot an arrow at the three cities of the enemies.
நீயே விண்ணவர்க்கு மேலாகி நின்றாய்
you only were superior to the celestials.
நீயே கண்டாரைக் கொல்லும் நஞ்சு உண்டாய்
you only drank the poison which is so cruel as even to kill people who look at it.
நீயே காலங்கள் ஊழியாய்நின்றாய்
you only were the infinite time and aeons.
நீயே தொண்டாய் அடியேனை ஆண்டாய்
you only accepted me, your protege as your devotee performing services.
நீயே தூமலர்ச் சேவடி என்மேல் வைத்தாய்
you only placed on my head your red feet flawless like the pure flower (of lotus)
நீயே திண்தோள்விட்டு எரி ஆடல் உகந்தாய்
you only like to dance in fire swinging the strong shoulders.

{$} நீயே ஆரும் அறியா இடத்தாய்
you only are in a place which no one can know.
நீயே ஆகாயம் தேர் ஊரவல்லாய்
you only are capable of riding on a chariot in the sky.
நீயே பேரும் பெரிய இலங்கை வேந்தன் பெரிய முடிபத்து (உம்) இறுத்தாய்
you only crushed all the big ten crowns of the King of ilaṅkai who had a great fame.
நீயே ஊரும் புரம் மூன்று அட்டாய்
you only destroyed all the three cities that were moving slowly in the sky.
நீயே ஒண்தாமரையானும் மாலும் கூடித்தேரும் அடி என்மேல் வைத்தாய்
you only placed the feet searched by Piramaṉ seated in a bright lotus and Māl, joining together.
