our Lord in Nallūr.
நினைந்து உருகும் அடியாரை நையவைத்தார்
made the hearts of devotees to melt further which are already melting thinking of him.
நில்லாமே தீவினைகள் நீங்கவைத்தார்
he caused the sins to leave me without staying with me.
சினம் திருகு களிற்று உரிவைப் போர்வை வைத்தார்
he covered himself in the skin of an elephant of severe anger.
செழுமதியின் தளிர் வைத்தார்
placed on his caṭai a thriving crescent as a tender leaf.
சிறந்து வானோர் இனம் துருவி மணி மகுடத்து ஏறத்துற்ற இனமலர்கள் போது அவிழ்ந்து
the several kinds of flowers being in an advanced stage and having infolded their petals, which are close to each other and which are adorned in the crowns set with precious stones by the celestials in large numbers, searching for them and obtaining them.
மதுவாய்ப்பில்கி
as they cause to flow honey being honey itself.
நனைந்த அனைய திருஅடி என் தலைமேல் வைத்தார்
placed his such great feet which are wet on my humble head which is not fit for that act.
நல்ல ஆறே

பொன் நலத்த நறுங்கொன்றை சடைமேல் வைத்தார்
placed on his catai fragrant koṉṟai flowers which are as beautiful as gold.
புலிஉரியின் அதள் வைத்தார்
wore the skin of a tiger which was flayed.
புனலும் வைத்தார்
placed water (on his head).
மன் நலத்த திரள் தோள்மேல் மழுவாள் வைத்தார்
kept a weapon of a battle-axe on his globular shoulder which has permanent beauty.
வார் காதில் குழைவைத்தார்
wore a male earring in the long ear.
மதியும் வைத்தார்
wore a crescent (on his caṭai)
மின் கலந்த நுண் இடையாள் பாகம் வைத்தார்
he placed in one half a lady whose waist is as beautiful as lightning.
வேழத்தின் உரி வைத்தார்; வெண்ணூல் வைத்தார்
covered himself with an elephants skin; wore a white sacred thread.
நல் நலத்த திருவடி என் தலைமேல் வைத்தார்
placed his feet of immense good on my head which is not fit for that act.
நல்ல ஆறே

தோடு ஏறுமலர்க்கொன்றை சடைமேல் வைத்தார்
wore on his caṭai koṉṟai flowers with many petals.
துன் எருக்கின் வடம் வைத்தார்
placed also a strand of yarcam flowers closely knit together.
துவலைசிந்தப்பாடுஏறு படுதிரைகள் எறிய வைத்தார்
placed (Kaṅkai) to throw roaring waves which rise on the sides, for particles of water to scatter.
பனி மத்த மலர் வைத்தார், பாம்பும் வைத்தார்
placed a cool datura flower and a cobra also.
சேடு ஏறு திரு நுதல் மேல் நாட்டம் வைத்தார்
has an eye on the sacred and beautiful forehead.
சிலை வைத்தார்
has a bow called piṉākam.
மலைபெற்ற மகளை வைத்தார்
placed (on the left side) a daughter of the mountain.
நாடு ஏறு திருவடி என் தலைமேல் வைத்தார்
placed his holy feet desired much (by devotees) on my head which is unfit for that act

our Lord in nallur.
வில் அருளி வருபுருவத்து ஒருத்திபாகம் பொருத்தாகி
being united with the half of a lady who has eye-brows on which she placed her grace, to be compared to her eye-brows.
விரிசடைமேல் அருவி வைத்தார்
kept on his losse caṭai a stream (of Kañkai)
கல் அருளி வரிசிலையா வைத்தார்
had as a bow with bands bestowing his grace on the mountain (mēru).
ஊராக் கயிலாயமலை வைத்தார்
had the mountain Kayilāyam as his place.
கடவூர் வைத்தார்
had as his place Kaṭavūr (Kaṭavūr is in Tanjore Dt. where Civaṉ destroyed the god of death, யமன் to protect mārkaṇṭēyaṉ)
சொல் அருளி அறம் நால்வர்க்கு அறியவைத்தார்
expounded moral instruction to four sages to make them understand, revealing the vetams (சொல் here means vētam; ākupeyar;

சுடு சுடலைப் பொடி வைத்தார்; துறவி வைத்தார்
has sacred ash of the cremation ground where corpses are burnt, to smear; placed the path of renunciation to soul who deserve it.

விண் இரியும் திரிபுரங்கள் எரிய வைத்தார்
set ablaze the three cities from which the celestials had to flee to save their lives.
தொழுவார்க்கு வினை அறவைத்தார்
made the Karmams to completely leave those who worshipped him.
துறவி வைத்தார்
he placed the path of renunciation.
கண் எரியால் காமனையும் பொடியா வைத்தார்
reduced even Kāmaṉ to become ash by the fire issuing from his frontal eye.
கடிக்கமலமலர் வைத்தார்
made the heart which is in the form of a fragrant lotus flower as his seat.
கயிலை வைத்தார்
has Kayilai as his great residence.
திண் எரியும் தண்புனலும் உடனே வைத்தார்
placed the strong fire not easily extinguished, and cool water in one and the same holy body.
திசை தொழுது மிசை அமரர் திகழ்ந்து வாழ்த்தி நண்அரிய திருவடி என் தலைமேல் வைத்தார்
placed on my head which is unfit for that act, his holy feet which cannot be easily approached by the celestial living in heaven and praised by them, worshipping him towards the direction he dwells.

{$} நல்லூர் எம்பெருமானார்
our Lord in nallūr.
பிணி உற்று உலவு உலகத்து எழுமை வைத்தார்
made the seven kinds of births in this world where diseases are spreading greatly.
உயிர் வைத்தார்
made the souls to be born in those births.
உயிர் செல்லும் கதிகள் வைத்தார்
created heaven and hell into which the souls enter. (மற்று)
அமரர் கணம் வைத்தார்
created the group of immortals (மற்று: expletive).
அமரர் காணா மறை வைத்தார்
revealed thevētams which even the immortals could not know.
குறை மதியம் வளரவைத்தார்
made the decreased moon to increase in size (this story is told Kanatapuraṇam, canties cāpappaṭalam)
செற்றம் மலி ஆர்வமொடு காமலோபம் இறவாத நெறி வைத்தார்
placed the path in which anger, intense fascination, lust, miserlinens are not prominent (other facults not included in this must be taken along with these; காமம், குரோதம், லோபம், மோகம், மதம், மாற்சரியம் these are called internal enemies; மதம் arrogance; மாற்சரியம் envy).
துறவிவைத்தார்
placed renunciation.
நற்றவர் சேர் திருவடி என் தலைமேல் வைத்தார்
place his holy feet which people who perform penance to be rid of the cycle of births and deaths, on my head which is not fit for that act.
நல்ல ஆறே

our Lord in nallūr.
மாறு மலைந்தார் அரணம் எரிய வைத்தார்
made the fortifications of the acurar who fought opposing him, to burn.
மணிமுடிமேல் அரவைத்தார்
placed on his brautiful head a cobra. (அரா-அர the long letter has been shortened).
அணி கொள் மேனி நீறு மலிந்து எரிஆடல் நிலவ வைத்தார்
having besmeared thickly sacred ash on his beautiful body made dancing with fire to be everlasting.
நெற்றிமேல் கண் வைத்தார்
placed on eye on the forehead.
நிலயம் வைத்தார்
has many temples.
ஆறு மலைந்து
having worn the river (Kañkai)
அறுதிரைகள் எறிய வைத்தார்
placed the waves which arode thebanks to dash on its banks.
ஆர்வத்தால் அடி அமரர் பரவ வைத்தார்
made the immortals to praise his feet with eargerness.
நாறு மலர்த் திருவடி என் தலைமேல் வைத்தார்
placed his holy feet which is adorned with fragrant flowers, on my head which is not fit for that act.

குலங்கள் மிகுமலை, கடல்கள், ஞாலம் வைத்தார்
created in this world mountains of eminence, oceans. (குலங்கள் மிகுமலை-குலமலை).
குருமணிசேர் அரவைத்தார்
placed on his body orbras which have bright game.
கோலம் வைத்தார்
created many forms for himself.
உலம் கிளரும் அரவத்தின் உச்சிவைத்தார்
made the hood for the cobra which is a strong as a round stone.
விடம் உண்டருளி வைத்தார்
drank the poison and placed it in his neck.
எண்தோள் வைத்தார்
created for himself eight shoulder.
நிலம் கிளரும் புனல்கனலுள் அனிலம் வைத்தார்
created the earth, rising water, air long with fire.
நிமிர் விசும்பின் மிசை வைத்தார்
created the sky above which is entensive.
நினைந்தார் இந்நாள் நலம் கிளரும் திருவடி என் தலைமேல் வைத்தார்
remembering his promise, he placed today his holy feet which have much beauty, on my head which is not fit for that act.

சென்று உருளும் கதிர்இரண்டும் விசும்பில் வைத்தார்
created the two lights (the sun and the moon) which travel rolling, in the sky.
திசை பத்தும் இருநிலத்தில் திருந்த வைத்தார்
placed in ten directions in this wide world, to be perct
நின்றருளி அடி அமரர் வணங்கவைத்தார்
made the immortals to worship his feet, appearing before them to be seen by them.
நிறை தவமும் மறைபொருளும் நிலவவைத்தார்
placed excellent penance and secret things to be permanent.
கொடுங்கூற்றம் நடுங்கி ஓடக்கொன்றருளிக் குரைகழல் சேவடி வைத்தார்
placed his lotus-red feet wearing sounding armour, having killed the cruel god of death to flee trembling. (சேவடியை, கூற்றம் நடுங்கி ஓட வைத்துக் கொன்றருளினார் is the sense).
விடையும் வைத்தார்
placed a bull also as his vehicle.
நன்று அருளும் திருவடி என் தலைமேல் வைத்தார்
placed his holy feet which grant all good things, on my mind which is not fit for the act.

our Lord in nallūr.
பாம்பு உரிஞ்சி மதிகிடந்து திரைகள் ஏங்கப் பனிக் கொன்றை சடைவைத்தார்
placed on the caṭai cool koṉṟai flowers for the waves of Kaṅkai to roar, when the cobra is rubbing itself and the crescent is lying there.
பணி செய் வானோர் ஆம் பரிசு தமக்கு எல்லாம் அருளும் வைத்தார்
place his grace on all the living beings who do service to him to become celestials (ஆம் பரிசு may mean also, granted his grace according to their fitness).
அடுசுடலைப்பொடி வைத்தார், அழகும் வைத்தார்
had holy ash of the cremation ground where corpses are burnt; placed beauty also.
ஓம்பு அரிய வல்வினைநோய் தீரவைத்தார்
removed the diseases and irresistible Karmams which one cannot remove by one's own ability.
உமையை ஒருபால் வைத்தார்
placed Umai on one half.
உகந்து வானோர் நாம்பரவும் (1) திருவடி என்தலைமேல் வைத்தார்
placed his holy feet which are praised by us, human beings, and by the celestials gladly on my head which is unfit for that act (வானோர், நாமும்)

குலம் கிளரும் வருதிரைகள் ஏழும் வைத்தார்
created the seven oceans in which collection of waves rise high.
குருமணிசேர் மலைவைத்தார்
created the mountains which have bright precious stones.
மலையைக் கையால் உலம்கிளர எடுத்தவன் தோள் முடியும் நோவ ஒரு விரலால் உறவைத்தார்
placed one toe firemly on the shoulders and the heads of irāvanaṉ who lifted the mountain Kayilai by the increasing strength of his shoulders, to ache with pain.
இறைவா' என்று புலம்புதலும் அருளொடுபோர் வாளும் வைத்தார்
when he wailed crying, supreme god', Civaṉ granted his grace and a sword fit for fighting.
புகழ் வைத்தார்
he attained fame by punishing irāvanaṉ and granting his grace to him.
புரிந்து ஆளாக்கொள்ளவைத்தார்
placed that fame to admit men to become his devotees by uttering his fame without ceasing.
நலம் கிளரும் திருவடி என் தலைமேல் வைத்தார்
he placed his body feet of prominent beauty on my head which is not fit for that act
