having covered with the flesh.
ஒன்பது வாசல் வைத்து
Having made nine gateways.
ஒள் எலும்பு தூணா உரோமம் மேய்ந்து
Having covered it with hair, the bones bling used as supporting pillars.
தாம் எடுத்த கூரைப் போவார்
God will go to people voluntarily who have assumed the body, in order to remove it.
தயக்கம் பல படைத்தார்
he created many forms.

Has a jumping deer.

{$} முறை ஆர்ந்தமும் மதிலும் பொடியாச் செய்து
Having destroyed the three forths which were contructed according to rules laid down for them, to become dust.
முன்னுமாய்ப் பின்னுமாய்
existing before all things that come into existence and also after they perished.
முக்கண் எந்தை
my father who has three eyes.
பிறை ஆர்ந்த சடைமுடிமேல் பாம்பு கங்கை பிணக்கம் தீர்த்து உடன் வைத்தார்
He has on his matted locks of hair on which there is a crescent, serpent and Kaṅkai, having removed their disagreement.
பெரிய நஞ்சுக் கறை ஆர்ந்த மிடற்று அடங்கக் கண்ட எந்தை
my father who retained the black colour of the big poison to settle in the beautiful neck.
கழிப்பாலை மேய கபாலப்பனார்
father who has a peculiarity in his head and who is in Kaḻippālai.
மறை ஆர்ந்த வாய்மொழியால் யாக்கைமாய வழி (வைத்தார்)
He has shown ways to leave this body by his truthful words which are found abundantly in maṟai (Vētam)

{$} நிமிலன் தன்னை நெளிவுண்டாக் கருதாதே
without thinking about the spotless supreme person with slackness.
(நிமிலன் தன்னை) நித்தலுமே நினைமின்கள்
think about him daily.
நேர் இழையாள் ஆய ஒளி வண்டு ஆர் கருங்குழலி உமையாள் தன்னை ஒருபாகத்து அமர்ந்து
Having on one half Umayāḷ who wears suitable jewels and has black tresses of hair on which the bright bees hum.
களி வண்டு ஆர் கரும்பொழில்சூழ் கண்டல் வேலிக் கழிப்பாலை மேய கபாலப்பனார்
Lord with a peculiarity in his head who is in Kaḻippālai which has fragrant screw-pines as fence and is surrounded by dark gardens where the bees which have drunk the honey make a buzzing noise.
வளி உண்டு ஆர் மாயக்குரம்பைநீங்க வழி (வைத்தார்)
He has indicated ways to leave the transient body which exists only due to inhaling and exhaling of oxygen

He has a form from which the fragrance of ashes spreads.
பூதிப்பையர்
Has a small bag in which sacred ash is kept.
புலித்தோலர்
has a tiger's skin
பொங்கு அரவர்
has angry serpents.
பூணநூலர்
wears a sacred thread.
அடிநாறு கமலத்தர்
has lotus flowers on his feet which issue fragrance.
ஆரூர்ஆதி
He is the chief in Ārūr.
ஆன் அஞ்சும் ஆடும் ஆதிரையினார்
the presiding deity of the star Ātirai, who bathes himself in the all the five products got from the cow.
கடி நாறு பூஞ்சோலை கமழ்ந்து நாறும் கழிப்பாலை மேய கபாலப்பனார்
the father who has a peculiarity in his head and who resides gladly in Kaḻippālai, which has bright beautiful gardens from which abundant fragrance spreads.
மடிநாறுமேனி இம் மாயம் நீங்கவழி (வைத்தார்)

கீதத்தாய்'
you are celebrated in songs.
எங்கும் விரவி எண் ஆனாய்'
pervading everywhere you are mathematics (logic)
எழுத்து ஆனாய்'
you are grammar
[[cf. எண் என்ப ஏனை எழுத்து என்ப இவ்விரண்டும் கண்ணென்ப வாழும் உயிர்க்கு (Kuṟal, 392)]]

கடல் ஏழானாய்
you are the seven seas.
இறையானாய்
you are the master of all things.
எம்இறையே என்று நிற்கும்

கார் ஆனாய், பாரும் ஆனாய்
you are the clouds; you are the world also.

{$} விண்ணப்ப விச்சாதரர்கள் ஏத்த
to be praised by the supplicatory viccātarar

விரிகதிரோன் எரிசுடரான் விண்ணும் ஆகி
having become the sun the fire and the sky.
பண் அப்பன்
the father who created all things.
பத்தர் மனத்துள் ஏயும் பசுபதி
Lord of souls in bondage seated in the minds of devotees.
பாசுபதன்
one who has the form of pācupataṉ

கண்ணப்பன் கண் அப்பக் கண்டு உகந்தார்

{$} பிணம் புல்கு பீறற்குரம்பை மெய்யாப் பேதப்படுகின்ற பேதைமீர்காள்
oh ignorant people who get bewildered taking the body with many tearings to be permanent but only becomes corpse at the end!
நிணம் புல்கு சூலத்தர்
has a trident which has fat sticking to it.
நீலகண்டர்
has a blue neck.
எண்தோளர்
has eight shoulders.
எண் நிறைந்த குணத்தினாலே
on account of the eight qualities which are complete in themselves.
கணம் புல்லன் கருத்து உகந்தார்
He approved of the idea of Kaṇampullaṉ

one who is a chief by himself without being appointed by anybody.
எந்தை, தந்தை, என்சிந்தைமேவி உறைகின்றான் (ஐ)
He resides in the minds of myself, my father and his father, desirous of it.
[[This hints that Civaṉ received the whole of the family as his protege]]
முயல்வான் (ஐ)
He is engaged in actions without ceasing.
மூர்த்தி (ஐ)
has a manifested form.
தீர்த்தமான திரியம்பகன்
Has three eyes and is completely pure
[[Has a farm of holy waters]]
திரிசூலத்தன் நகையன்
Has a trident, has a benign smile.
கயல் பாயும் கண்டல் சூழ்வுண்டவேலிக் கழிப்பாலை மேய கபாலப்பனார்
the father who has a peculiarity on his head and who is residing in Kaḻippālai which is surrounded by fragrant screw pines as a fence where the carp fish leaps.
மயல் ஆய மாயக்குரம்பை நீங்கவழி (வைத்தார்)
He has shown the path by which one can be rid of the impermanent body which is equal to rubbish.

{$} செற்றது ஓர் மனம்ஒழிந்து
having left the irrepressible anger in the mind
சிந்தைசெய்து
meditating on him.
சிவமூர்த்தி என்றெழுவார்
in the minds of people who wake up saying auspicious god who has manifested in a form!'
சிந்தையுள் உற்றறு ஓர் நோய்களைந்து இஉலகம் எலாம் காட்டுவான்
he shows the way for the people of this world to praise them, having weeded out their anxiety from their minds
உத்தமன்
he is the superior person.
ஓதாது எல்லாம் கற்றது ஓர்நூலினன்
He has a knowledge of all books without being taught by anybody.
கயிறுசெற்றான்
He has rent asunder all bonds
கழிப்பாலை மேய கபாலப்பனார்

{$} பொருத அலங்கல் நீள் முடியான்பேரரக்கன் புட்பகம்
the puṭpakam (a vehicle similar to the modern aeroplane) belonging to arakkaṉ who won battles and a tall crown on which was adorned a garland for having won battles.
பொருப்பின்மீது ஓடாதாக
could not fly over the mountain (Kailācam)
இருநிலங்கள் நடுக்குஎய்த எடுத்திடலும்
when he removed (that mountain) for the living beings of the worlds to tremble with fear.
ஏந்து இழையாள்வெருவ இறைவன் நோக்கி
on seeing the fear of the lady with superior ornaments.
கரதலங்கள் கதிர்முடி ஆறு அஞ்சினோடு கால்விரலால் ஊன்று கழிப்பாலையார்
the Lord in Kaḻippālai who pressed down the hands and shining crowns totalling thirty (hands - 20; heads 10)
வருதல் அங்க மாயக் குரம்பைநீங்க வழிவைத்தார்
He showed the way to be rid of the impermanent body which is born again and again.
